I have been working at Daimler Trucks North America full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great work environment and really great people. Team work is unparalleled in this company (in my department of IT). contrary to what other reviewers have said, I have experienced open communication and idea sharing from day one. People here work hard and there is no wrong in expecting that from people. It is a job after-all. The hard work is balanced with a decent life balance and time off. It is great place to work and I am proud to be a part of it. Lots of opportunity to grow and learn, new interests are encouraged by Management. They will help you reach your goals.

    Cons

Some of the middle management over some of the other areas seem petty and unsupportive of their teams. It's difficult to see some of the struggles of other areas. While I don't believe one or two bad apples in Management spoil the whole bunch, it really does not bode well for retention of the workers who feel marginalized and who do incredible work. This is not the norm, but worth mentioning.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your teams happiness and success is yours. Include them, give them credit. Also, there are a number of contractors who have become staples in the work place. Maybe find a way to convert those who you have come to rely on.
