    Pros

Leader of the sour cream industry.

    Cons

There is no communication of objectives, goals or results.
Major disconnect between leadership and plant in all aspects.
Disappointing company culture with no regard for a work/life balance.
Very large ego's in upper management and leadership.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encourage input and involvement from employees...they also have ideas.
Plant manager communications or general business updates.
Need more involvement and appearance of HR within the plant.
Spark motivation and offer people incentives, the culture is in despair.

I worked at Daisy Brand full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The pay is pretty good and the 401k and profit sharing is good. The pay is above average.

    Cons

The managers are micro managers. No concept of FLEX time. Even after all night deployments they still expect everyone in the office @ 8 am. No opportunity for advancement. They run off employees after 1-2 years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop lying to new hires. Stop telling them there is "lots of opportunity for advancement" when there is none.

    Doesn't Recommend

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Daisy Brand full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Traditional fourth generation company with good quality products that have great potential to lead the category.

    Cons

Formal business dress means wearing ties in corporate office; management fearful of change or even reviewing new ideas. Extensive testing for new employee prospects. Lack of mentoring and standard on boarding for new employees. Managers lack communication skills.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Extensive writing of weekly logs are excessive.

    Doesn't Recommend

    I worked at Daisy Brand

    Pros

Daisybrand is a laid back atmosphere, and therefore management does not expect a lot of "thinking" work from its employees. (If you call this a pro). CEO will spend time in a daisybrand101 course to explain the company, but seems more like a dog and pony show.

    Cons

Pay is rather low, and department management often times do not communicate causing employee to receive mixed signals. Wearing ties to work is a good enough reason to stay away from this archaic company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get with the times, wearing ties to work is unbelievably outdated, and embarrassing, and is a symbol of your slow-moving attitude in the marketplace.

    Cons

No communication with management. Very little training. Dictator leadership. What management says goes. No employee input allowed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to employees. Management is not always correct.
