    Pros

    Its very good company to start a carrier with international business management approaches. Lots of free trainings. Free yoghurt everyday:) All managers have corporate cars. Modern office. Team buildings etc..

    Cons

    Very slow promotion. Mostly impossible to become a director (departments head) as usually they receive new ones from France (80%) or other countries. PDR (personal development review) is a mean of punishment and position change or even company's leave instead of real development! Corporate culture CODEF (commitment-open-doer-empower-fun) is simulation for top-management directors and very cynical attitude. Very strange salary policy, ex. my predecessor received 2 times higher salary and worked 2 time less efficiency. So if you are really doer you will receive less than undoer:))) I had around 4 persons upper management and 1 direct subordinates and dozen of cross-functionals and in the same time was responsible for everything even for a partners part of job)))

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Turn CODEF (commitment-open-doer-empower-fun) instead of only fun into real openness and commitment (and other letters) from directors and management. More sincerity in attitude and higher payment for real doers.

    Pros

    - As an intern, they will give you big responsabilities and you will learn A LOT. Considering that this is not the average practice for internships in Colombia, I would highly recommend to do it at Danone.
    - Salaries are very good for interns
    - It is a company that tries to innovate everytime (not always achieving that, but, you know what I mean).
    - A lot of young people
    - Transportation facilities (ruta)

    Cons

    - High pressure, for now this is not one of the top companies in Colombia. Also, the market is very agressive and everyday changing.
    - The office is away from everything. This has a direct impact on quality of life (wake up early, arrive home late).
    - As the company has few years in Colombia, you will often find disorder in some processes / practices / procedures. In my point fo view, this is just part of the developing process of the company. But still needs to be improved anyway.
    - A lot of turnover

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    To apply more headquartes practices/policies (at least regarding HR). For example, in organizational culture / employee branding. I know that for most Danone's in the world, being a Danoner has a huge background. Here is like working in any company. So, what's special about this one? It is not just if you are or not CODE or the KPI's, I'm pretty sure that this topic could be more deveolped in order to create an organizational identity.

    dynamic, open minded, well known, leading company in healthy food, good company values

    Cons

    The numeric reporting system in the company is terrible....they are making effort to improve this though. French culture still quite dominant.

    Pros

    Top level of business practices! You get to work with the smartest, best educated people! Even when they are making mistakes, they are doing it brilliantly. Your experience will be recognized wherever you go. Great environment! It's a great company to be if you are proactive! You can start your own projects and your manager is probably giving you a lot of autonomy (won't guide or develop you either…).

    Cons

    The HR policy! People (specially talented ones) tend to move position very fast, this means that teams are unstable, there is a lot of politics, people are always changing, always adapting, no one has a lot of knowledge/experience in what they are doing. If there was a history of Danone strategies, in some teams you could see the some strategies being "discovered", the same mistakes being made every 5 years… Also, Danone is too french, management is glocal but top management remains french. It's virtually impossible to move between domains, career evolution is vertical only, born a buyer, a buyer you'll die! Mangers manage projects, budgets but not people, you are on your own. Lack of diversity!!!! Everyone is WHITE and YOUNG...

    Change your HR policy! Have some old, wise people. Make managers accountable for the development of their teams and start working on horizontal career evolutions!
