I worked at Dar Al-Handasah full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The company has a good name in the middle east
The infra structure is very well built
The company provides some good travel opportunities

    Cons

The current hiring standards are way too low
Management needs to focus more on training and development
Management needs to consider better incentive plans
Promotions are pointless and hold no value

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Seeing as you are the number 1 engineering consultant in the region, have more respect for your employees, be very selective in your choices and provide better incentive structures. Try and move away from the traditional ideals that are no longer viable in this growing economy. Most importantly try to be more of an elite firm rather than a firm that picks up the trash.
