I have been working at Dassault Systemes full-time

    Pros

    - 9 weeks of vacations per year.
    - Skilled colleagues often willing to help and collaborate, which means that there are good opportunities to learn.
    - Interesting projects related to 3D, engineering, CAD, FEA, PLM, etc.
    - Global company with opportunities to work abroad and collaborate with foreign people.
    - 30 years old company backed by the Dassault family - it won't be bought anytime soon.
    - 2 billions/year company.
    - Double digits growth company.

    Cons

    - Wage significantly lower than average compared to similar companies, for computer engineering jobs.
    - Domain experts (e.g. mechanical engineers, system engineers) and managers are ways more recognized than technical experts (e.g. software engineers).
    - Aging processes and tools (e.g. waterfall).
    - Very strict hierarchy and politics at the higher levels (M1, M2, M3).
    - People tend to believe that Dassault Systèmes is a weapon-company! In reality, Dassault Systèmes' products are more used to create cars, civil planes, and bottles of shampoo than for the defense industry.

I have been working at Dassault Systemes full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Compared to a typical Japanese company, at least we get larger desks, more casual hours, and the ability to take a long vacation.

    Cons

But it really is very inflexible company with almost no career path or growth path for anyone. It has a we-are-just-a-branch-office-so-why-dream-big kind of feel to it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have way too many rigid, inflexible HR people. Dump the whole lot and start over if you want to have anything dramatic happen

I worked at Dassault Systemes full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Reasonable salary, close nit team, travel and no need to worry about justifying work related expenses. Access to manager and welcomed as a family member

    Cons

Too much travel and isolated offices. Low level of communication. Planning always seemed rushed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend more time directing and objectives for the local teams

I have been working at Dassault Systemes as an intern (more than a year)

    Pros

The pay is great. I have easy access to my manager and even the director. The company culture is an excellent fit for me; I enjoy the work environment in tech companies. It is calm for the most part, but can be fast-paced if needed.

    Cons

Sometimes, there can be no work to do, or the work is not challenging enough.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    None, really.

Beaucoup de politique au plus haut niveau, un rythme de travail très élevé

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Moins de réorganisations et plus d'accompagnement au changement

    Pros

    Nice group of people overall.

    Cons

Worst job "experience" ever. Poor upper management with no stability. High turnove for Executives every year and inexperienced HR.

I have been working at Dassault Systemes

    Pros

OK Benefits, you can work virtual if you need to. quirky perks in the benefits package. free coffee. Lots of time off, but be careful of using in large blocks of time. you'll be swamped with work when you return

    Cons

Little to no advancement. low pay. no personal growth. Internal policy don't work well with partners.
cross train people. It doesn't hurt to have more than 1 person able to complete tasks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't let good talent go to waste. Put a stop to inclusive leadership. If an employee is in control of their career at Dassault, include them in the decisions that affect the success of their work. Management agendas should be to promote ALL employees.
