    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is a lot to say...
The managers favorite their employees and treat the rest like crap.
If you do become a manager, which is rare because they would rather hire new people instead of promoting, they will move you to a different location so you don't favorite employees, but that still happens.
Management needs to all be on the same page and understand the rules of the company because it seems like every manager has their own rules.
They also need to treat their employees with more respect, that is why most of your employees quit without notice.

I have been working at Dave & Buster's part-time for more than a year

    Pros

occasionally make what I would like to

    Cons

lack of communication between managers and people on the floor

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

In house managers need to listen to their employee's more often. There is a atmosphere of we are never wrong and don't question us that leads to a major divide between the hourly employees and management.

I have been working at Dave & Buster's part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    there are none,, at all

    Cons

12-14 hour work shifts, no breaks. forced to upgrade customer cards or your shifts reflect on it.. poor management skills. A lot of equipment in the building is outdated and broken, but the managers can afford a "manager day".
Major favoritism, the company does not care at all about you. No room for advancement. Managers text on the joband when you need something work related, they tell you to wait.

    I worked at Dave & Buster's part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Co-workers are friendly and easy to get along with.

    Cons

Each employee is treated differently. If you call off sick, miss a day due to an emergency, or upset a manager, you will be punished by either being put in a bad section, or they will not put you on the schedule at all. One of the managers (Steve Perry) will not comp off food for employees because he's too busy comping off food for his girlfriend. I hope they're not skimming off the top. Employees are told that they can't work over 28 hours because of the Affordable Care Act that was passed by President Obama. As a result, employee morale has dropped significantly. Automatic gratuity was taken away. As a result, certain groups of people don't tip, especially at night. Even the managers admit to hating their job (but they'll never admit it to corporate).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop allowing managers to sleep with employees, and start rewarding employees who have been consistent and have a good work ethic.
