    All for one and one for all

    Technical Recruiter (Current Employee) Marlborough, MA

    ProsDavis does a great job of building a collaborative environment where knowledge is shared and all parties involved are working towards a common goal. In an industry where cut-throat attitudes and aggressive territorial behaviors tend to run rampant I am very happy to have landed in a competitive environment with a pack mentality. Compensation is excellent... decent base and excellent intensives for success as an individual AND as a group.
    Company was founded on giving people the tools they need to split off and run with something they are passionate about. That mentality is alive and well today.

    ConsAs in most recruiting and sales jobs, hours can be long but the people you have working on either side of you make the hours go by quickly.

    Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up the good work!!!

    Had some good times, but best seen from your rearview mirror

    Pros-Can be really, really fun
    -Understands that there is life outside of work
    -Made some great friends

    Cons-Pay is not competitive at all
    -Promotion/hiring is based on who, not what you know
    -Limited to no career growth
    -Lack of guidance from management
    -Lack of knowledge/advice/mentorship from senior management

    Advice to Senior Management-Complete a full, comprehensive salary survey. Don't rest your expectations on a few good perks outweighing lack of a competitive salary.
    -Promote based on experience and skills, not just because you know them.
    -Practice what you preach. I've read the blog posts regarding life at Davis, career opportunities, etc. It sounds great but is not an accurate portrayal of Davis. There's a reason turnover has been high for the past year.
