I have been working at Daymon Worldwide

    Pros

Daymon offers opportunities all around the world in sales, marketing, customer service, management, and many more. If you are looking for a company that you can grow with and see the world, Daymon is that company. Daymon has individual accounts that work with different retailers/customers and each account has different responsibilities. With Daymon, your focus can be in marketing events, selling product, or working with international customers. There are many opportunities in different fields.

    Cons

Daymon is competitive and driven by sales and profitability. If you aren't interested in a fast pace environment than this may not be the right step for you. While every account is different, work/life balance can be hard to achieve at times. However, Daymon does provide resources to help with work/life balance and does encourage employees to use those resources. Every busy job comes with it's work/life balance challenges.

I worked at Daymon Worldwide full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible work schedule in some not all departments and businesses. HR is never there when you need them, all working from home. What happened to Daymon University, everyone left? You'll never know what your job is, it's made up everyday.

    Cons

Poor leadership at the global level, too many directors and Sr. Directors who are unskilled leading the organization. A confused executive team who creates more chaos and has a sense of entitlement. You will never know what your job is, it will change everyday, resulting from a confused leadership team.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop recreating your vision every year and be more clear on the deliverables, not just the what but the how. What does HR do? Promote people with real experience not made up experience at Daymon or because on years of service.

    Pros

They try to make the "Best Places to Work" list but fail miserably.

    Cons

Very cheap, you have to beg for training and supplies. If your management team is spineless, you will get nothing!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Too much dead wood in some management and directors positions. Different rules for different folks, try to be consistent and stop retaining people because they fit a quota.

    Pros

Daymon is the Industry leader in each of their divisions. Knowledgeable, aggressive executives are doing great job growing the company in highly competitive marketplaces and trying to diversify to give the company a broader base. They have a fantastic ESOP and good compensation. Benefits are good..

    Cons

An ambitious CFO has heavily outsourced many positions, particularly in HR and IT. Job stability has decreased for many positions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Regain some of the heart Daymon was founded with.

    Pros

Expert in Private Label, retailer relationships, supply expertise, good people, decent culture and work life balance, flexible working arrangements possible, opportunities for growth and development. Competitive compensation/benefits.

    Cons

Lack of solid processes, frequent changes in direction and structure, frequent disconnect between field teams and corporate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow through on initiatives, achieve continuity in strategy, focus on fewer better thought out initiatives rather than chasing every seemingly good opportunity. Demand performance, but offer appreciation.
