Employee owned with great esop program. Good benefits. Good work life balance. Good growth potential if you are willing to move around the country.

    Cons

Although growth potential is a plus the ability to move is essential which makes it tough for families.

    Pros

As a demonstrator for CDS, you start at 11.50/hr and the work is easy once you get the feel for things. Flexible-ish schedule too.

    Cons

No benefits, no commission, complete lack of corporate support, high daily sales goals, and previous accomplishments are not acknowledged.

    Advice to Management

Focus on your employees, not just on numbers. A happy work force is going to be much more efficient and enthusiastic than treating your employees likes sales mules.

    Pros

Good comraderie between associates, despite the tough environment. ESOP and vacation days are positives that you may not find in other similar Companies. Opportunities still exist to move up in the Company.

    Cons

Continual change in culture. Difficult for the field teams to relate to the these changes and how it affects them directly.

    Advice to Management

Listen to feedback at all levels of the Company. Bring back a little fun, and make the culture feel less transactional.

    Pros

Pay for executives is above average, quickly given responsibility, with so many offices there is a lot of chance to move around the country and around the world

    Cons

ESOP is not shared with group companies = inequality is rampant, new CEO changed the culture to one of fear of retribution for not making goals rather than one which was not afraid to take risks to improve the company, goals set top-down with no regard for state of each business unit, CEO brought in all of her cronies from previous jobs so upward movement is now impossible

    Pros

Company has done a good job of diversifying business.

    Cons

Core brokerage model is dead and the rest of the organization cannot grow quickly enough to make up the difference.

    Advice to Management

The solution is not to place your successful businesses under the control of managers that have failed in the brokerage model.

    Pros

Has good working relations with Costco and other large companies.
    Good workday hours.
    Competitive salary

    Cons

Unhealthy corporate atmosphere. Went from positive and team building to fear and negativity.
Company has gone through massive changes lately, all for the worse.
No leadership in home office. All the true leaders that made Daymon great are gone.

    Advice to Management

New CEO has taken a great company that treated people with respect and tore it apart. Now it is a cookie cutter corporate, your just a number place to work. What made Daymon great is long gone thanks to Carla Cooper. Part of the company has been sold off, most profits are not from the brokerage part of the business but the Costco sampling side. And that part of the business has been taken down the wrong road and will not last long. Very sad to see a great thing sour so fast.
Funny thing is, corporate was so concerned about the "great places to work" surveys. When it came in under where they wanted, around 60-70%, the employees got the poor survey score docked on their yearly review. Now that will make it a better place to work. Dont understand what the new upper management is thinking.
