I have been working at Daymon Worldwide as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Working Independently, can work whatever days you choose, job is simple and pays well. The workers are more than happy to assist you in whatever you need.

    Cons

Some months are slow, so its best to have another job on the side. Sometimes, the promotional items don't make it to the store so it's hard to fully promote the item you're trying to sell.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I just wished the management contacted more often just to see how one is doing

    Pros

Fantastic ESOP, Professional development, Mobility, Health Benefits are great. Training programs are top notch.

    Cons

Very Political, Too much uncertainty and change, Low pay, promotes people based on individual performance and not on their ability to lead people....Employee satisfaction depends on your account (you can have a fantastic experience in one location or be subjected to a toxic work environment in another).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not allow employees with poor management skills to manage people.

    Pros

The IT department with 15 staff is very project originated, with a team of outsourced programmers oversea. Good hands-on opportunities to gain experience in different technology.

    Cons

High work pressure, never enough time to properly plan and schedule detailed workload. Manager has problem communicating with staff, resulting in weekly crisis and long schedule delay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep a balance with resulted oriented approach and stability of the work place to keep good staff.

I have been working at Daymon Worldwide full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great staff in the design department. Lots of fun, very talented designers with a handful of "not-so-fun, disgruntled, been here too long & like to complain" employees.

    Cons

limited advancement within corporate unless you want to move to an account & work on-site. Depending on the account, can be a nightmare. Always in the middle of conflict, & then accused of "going native".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward & acknowledge the talented, committed employees. Get rid of the dead weight.

I worked at Daymon Worldwide full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The best thing about the company is the ESOP.

    Cons

Lack of support from VP and upper management, accountability for field teams but very little to none for corporate support.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop creating annual goals that are beyond reasonable reach without business plans to execute against. Stop hiring "new" talent at the expense of vested tenured employees.

I worked at Daymon Worldwide part-time for less than a year

    Pros

They supposedly have lots of jobs and will invite you to pay for many of them. Do yourself a favor and don't.

    Cons

This is a group of companies who robo-mail random people with experience in merchandising (management and sales) . They are looking for people who are satisfied with being undervalued, underemployed and underpaid. The time-off policy is that there is alot of time off during 1st through 3rd quarters. Don't fall for it----they are looking for people to work lots of hours during 4th quarter and they will tell the inexperienced people that its a full-time job.

    It is not.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't ever ask for people with a Bachelor's Degree then pay them minimum wage. It's not illegal but it is insulting to people who don't know the truth about merchandising work.

    Pros

The company is easy going and gives very convenient telecommute policy. Low demands and expectations of employees. Super slow pace of work.

    Cons

Terrible compensation. Unfair promotions and review process. Constant reorganization. New management is super process and tracking oriented. There are trackers for trackers for trackers. Super micromanaged!!!!!!!!!!

    Pros

A good company to work for, they have evolved over the years. Opportunities for growth and a solid future

    Cons

Can be political at times, need to network

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take the GPTW Survey seriously, it will lead to areas that can be improved and to people who should be reviewed and possibly demoted. It gives a voice to the Team when they can't speak
