    Pros

It's fun. I only deal with the people I work with. Unlike fast food. It's pretty easy. You get to use the fitness room and the pool.

    Cons

Times on cleaning rooms and the kangaroo pillows. Not having a set schedule. Going from housekeeping to light maintenance in the same day.

    Advice to Management

The Garcia are great people to work for. We love them. And there has been a big change in the hotel.

I have been working at Days INN full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Not much physical work involved with managing a hotel aside from some light maintenance here and there. Not many staff members to supervise. Days Inn corporate takes much of the leg work out of the marketing aspect.

    Cons

Not much time at home. One day a week off. Lower end of the salary spectrum for management. Constantly battling negative reviews on TripAdvisor which are generally untrue. Having to cover shifts when the few staff members you have are unable to work.

    Advice to Management

Be sure to stay on top of your TripAdvisor reviews as they can make or break your business long term. Suggest every guest that tells you about a positive experience to write a good review as you may get 1 in 100 that will do so. Try to take care of any negative issues others may have because you can bet 1 in 1 of those will write a terrible review.

I have been working at Days INN (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I like the guest I see

    Cons

This is the worst place to work, when I first came here I was told that Night Auditor, would have to stay on property, ok not an issue it’s only me no kids. health issue less stress. Boy was I wrong training paid 7.00 per hour and 3 years later I m still making the same money. When you try to take another job you told you have to move the same day you quite. which is hard because with the money they are paying you can never save enough to get out. There are some people here making less money then me.

    Pros

I love my job and what I do. I am management and enjoy the people I work with and helping the customers.

    Cons

Not enough pay and the owner continuously changes his mind on a daily basis. Not enough consistency. The hotel is up for sale, so hopefully new owners will realize we have an excellent team currently for 2015.

    Pros

It was a job, my fellow employees were nice, it was nice to at least a little pay for my time.

    Cons

Low wages, poor communication, lack of appreciation by franchise owners, misuse by franchise owners, dishonesty by franchise owners, foreign franchise owners. My list could go on... If the franchise is owned by foreigners, please keep looking.

    Advice to Management

Research those wishing to franchise with you. Most of those who are foreign have little care for helping your brand or identity, and actually do you a huge injustice!

    Pros

The management and staff are great to work with. The place starts to feel like a family after a while. Great profit share program for bonuses.

    Cons

Pay is fairly low compared to industry standards and staff is greatly underappreciated by owners.
