I have been working at Dayton Freight part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Dayton offers a lot to their employees, from the competitive pay all the way to their employee appreciation week every year. They are a top notch workplace.

    Cons

The winters can be terrible, especially as a dock worker. There is little to no chance you will become a full-time dock worker.

I have been working at Dayton Freight part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay for what you do. As long as you are staying busy, your job should be secure.

    Cons

Hard to get full-time and really bad hours most of the time. Working outside in the winter is not for the weak hearted.

    Advice to Management

Some type of heating and cooling system would be great depending on what season it is. Cut out the less motivated employees so other hard working employees receive more hours.

    Pros

Awesome place to work, best LTL I've ever been or seen. Technology wise it's way above everyone else.

    Cons

Ltl never changes, you always will deal with knuckle heads because anyone with a half a brain can get a CDL or drive a forklift.

    Advice to Management

Keep it simple, they want to stay in the Midwest and not go national which I think is a great idea.

I have been working at Dayton Freight part-time

    Pros

Great pay for a consistent part time schedule. In my personal experience supervisors are helpful and hard work is noticed.

    Cons

Some people make it through the ranks who probably don't deserve it. Education is a necessity for a supervisor and above.
