    Pros

Good customer base and a wide range of products for the entertainment and event industries. The company enjoys a long history in the theater industry.

    Cons

A serious void in qualified management and a lack of ethics make the employee experience hard to get excited about. Marketing department is non existent. No performance review system is in place to reward those who exceed expectations. Accountability is rarely placed on employees in key positions. No formal training programs are available to new hires. Ownership does not solicit feedback from all levels within the organization. Internal communication is poor on issues ranging anywhere from HR related to product availability. Many who work for Dazian want the company to succeed, but time and again it seems to be its own worst enemy.

    Advice to Management

Have a consulting company come in and evaluate Dazian. When that evaluation is done, listen to what the results are and implement the suggestions you receive. It will be money well spent. Face the reality that you don't know it all. It's all right to seek out help.

    Pros

Some good employees. Good products. And fabrics. Good salary. Hourly Employees and installers are the best thing they have going for them

    Cons

Commissions not paid. No customer service. HR is lacking. Employees are not held accountable for their actions That affect other locations. No marketing materials and Website has been under construction for years. The company is still doing business like it was back in the 1980s No innovation and no desire to change from the top down. During the interview and hiring process they extremely oversell the company and within weeks you will find out it is not all it is cracked up to be

    Advice to Management

The culture of the entire company needs to change starting from the top. Just because somebody has been with the company for quite some time does not mean they deserve to be in that position

  6. Dazian is the armpit of the textile industry

    Pros

The salaries are acceptable until the suicidal thoughts from the utter drudgery of this amateur work environment settle in.

    Cons

The CEO's and COO prefer to learn as they go and they haven't gotten very far. Profit margins grow thin from long elaborate systems of cutting corners, unethical business practices, and a red tape that is a mile thick.

    Advice to Management

In agreement to the past review of a former employee, I too recommend that the CEO's find suitable managers with proven track records to run their different departments instead of letting their idiot friends direct a staff who are a thousand times more qualified. Promote from within!!

Like many creative companies much potential but far to go.

    Pros

Willingness to try new things. They have a lot of heart and really want to develop creative solutions for their clients. Low but consistent pay which is saying a lot nowadays. Flexible working schedule. Honest management.

    Cons

For all the creativity they fall short on maintaining business standards and that badly impacts their survivability. Truly could be helped by streamlining and updating business processes so that they have the information they need to make decisions quickly. Sharing information is a problem too so employees feel un-empowered to produce change.

    Advice to Management

I would recommend an outside business process consultant to develop communication, prodcution and decision processes that are streamlined and effective. So people can be accountable and informed and then commit to making the the changes even if it means replacing loyal people who are under-performing.
