    I worked at DePuy

    Pros

    Equitable compensation
Decent benefits package, (albeit lacking some key components should one seek special medical advice or attention)

    Cons

    Favoritism
    Top heavy
Management does not always deliver clear message and it is easy to derail your career with one wrong move.
If you play the game you will do well. Unfortunately, there was much emphasis placed on career development and I felt my interests fell on deaf ears. When I voiced my concerns it was too late.
Also in order to move up, you will need to move among the operating companies. It's not just a job it's a lifestyle.

Former Employee - Salesperson & Product Manager in Leeds, England (UK)

I worked at DePuy full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Usually the best product range in the orthopaedics market. Most people in the industry want to work for this company as surgeons & nursing staff are usually more open to speaking with you about its products. Attractive bonus structure

    Cons

Very technical role with steep learning curve -you have to learn the product range well enough to provide competent, verbal technical experience in the theatre operating room environment. Long, unpredictable hours as you are at the mercy of NHS and private hospital operating list scheduling.

    Pros

J&J Credo, access to many business and regulatory tools

    Cons

Organization size made it challenging to share information to promote reapplication of good practices.

I have been working at DePuy

    Pros

Good place to work, nice people and large company with lots of oportunities. Good variety and responsibilities given early on. Chance to work with highly knowledgeable people in their field

    Cons

Being a contractor means you miss out on a lot of the benefits that full time staff receive. eg Not allowed to use the on site gym (which is for full time staff emloyees)

    Recommends
    Approves of CEO

I have been working at DePuy as an intern (more than an year)

    Pros

Great work environment and many resources available to help solve any current or potential problems.

    Cons

I work for DePuy Orthopaedics at the design center in Warsaw, IN which is not a very big city. It's a great city here is a lot to do if you look for it (lots of lakes, parks etc...), but it's definitely not the same as the big cities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to avoid any bad publicity.
