I have been working at DeVries Global full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great clients and great employees - this agency respects individuals and in turn respects personal time. Some internal processes are restricted due to IPG Policies but the agency strives to set and live by its own culture. The PTO allocation is generous and the agency currently offers summer Fridays (3pm finish June-Aug), additional benefits are appreciated. Smaller agency feel with global agency opportunities and vision.

    Cons

Certain restrictions/policies set by parent company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to ask for and listen to feedback - it works.

    Pros

Lots of intelligent people work here, big name clients

    Cons

There is no value on lower level employees. They bear the burden of the workload and upper management does nothing to help.

The company claims to value work-life balance, but there is close to none.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please keep your lower level employees in mind.

I have been working at DeVries Global as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Great location in midtown. Love bar cart Thursdays and of course leaving work at 3pm on Fridays

    Cons

Not enough work given to interns

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Really structure the internship program more. Make them more involved and get hands on account coordination/management experience

    Pros

DeVries is a well oil machine with a set of strategic and creative thinkers. The 360 collaboration and brand planning is far above traditional pr standards.

    Cons

While there have been efforts to improve work-life balance among the entire company there are teams that are working late hours around the clock and then others that seem to stick to company office hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior management should regulate each teams work load and consider staffing where needed.

    Pros

Beware my friends of the reviews listed here. I started six months ago moving from Chicago to New York and this place is a disaster - everything is disorganized and the people are rude

    Cons

Clients are horrific - expecting wha results with retainers at 15 to 20k - clients treating staff horrible and Management refuses to do anything due to money

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Shut the doors, turn off be lights, and say adios to the worst PR firm in the world - adios

I have been working at DeVries Global full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Dynamic teams and a sophisticated approach to the business. A mid-size agency that enables growth for its employees and for its clients. While many agencies seem stuck in the world of traditional PR, DeVries Global pushes the envelope mixing earned and social media in a way that is credible and interesting.

    Cons

I haven't experienced any negative experiences.
