    Wolf in sheep's clothing

Admissions Advisor (Former Employee) Chicago, IL

ProsComradery with employees in the same position, good location, not a difficult job

ConsWhere to begin? Despite what they say, it is a numbers-based environment. They will say they are looking at soft skills but really they are looking at how many students you apply. Lack of HR presence. Need to document everything to cover your back. Coaching/training is laughable.

Advice to Senior ManagementQuit promoting your friends. If you never hear the word "no", you will never improve and get better.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Management doesn't look at development until engagement surveys are bad

Manager (Former Employee) Oak Brook, IL

ProsGreat benefits especially tuition assistance. Teams do lots of activities especially on holidays

ConsManagement doesn't care until they are forced to. When employee engagement surveys come out and they stink then managers are forced to find ways to fix it....only to forget about the whole process a few months later.

There is no work-life balance. Managers come and go as they please but want you to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and any other day even when you have a family.

Micromanaging is horrible especially in my former department. There are also way too many "managers" trying to make decisions.

Advice to Senior ManagementShow genuine care for your employees and give them some autonomy. Don't micromanage and embrace change.

    Sinking Ship

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsBenefits, and a good learning experience in how not to run an office.

ConsThis place is a study in how to not manage an office. Between clear favorites, and the constant blaming of others it is not exactly an ideal place to work if you have standards

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
