I worked at DeVry Education Group full-time

    Pros

They really take care of their employees. The salary and benefits are great especially for someone right out if college. You work in teams and build great bonds with teammates.

    Cons

There is a lot of favoritism, if management liked you and doing we'll they would make sure you always did well. If you were on the flip side of that you were as good as gone.

    Advice to Management

Make everyone on your team feel like they are important. For upper management, know what is happening in your department and in your school- get out of the ivory tower.

    Pros

You are kidding me?! In the beginning everything seems great. A lot of support and excellent service to society and changing lives through education.

    Cons

After a while, the smog if lies disappear and you understand the true business side to the education factor. They truly should practice what they supposedly preach in accordance to their own benefit. Micromanagement and fear producing tactics to generate more enrollments are at it's best! Incompetent management and always bending their own policies. If you dare to speak up- be ready to be written up or put in a plan Chicago location run by all women- so prepare for drama and deceit all day long. Best part of the job: their office is swarming with bed bugs. Lol, enter at your own risk

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing so you can be shut down soon. No one should give their hard earned money to GREEDY for profit schools- so fingers crossed the society rids you if your unproductive scam of a brighter future to our young generation.

    Pros

People are friendly and management is flexible with working hours, generous paid time off amounts and policies. Benefits are just okay.

    Cons

Many managers tend to be in positions based on how well they are liked personally and not based on skill set. Many issues that should be dealt with swiftly tend to sit on the back burner while other issues that seem trivial are dealt with priority.

    Advice to Management

Quit worrying about small petty things and focus on the big picture and listen to your employee's ideas.
