    I worked at DeVry University

    Pros

One of the best company's I've worked for. They always strive to do the right thing for their students and employees. Great leadership and they do their best to make sure new hires are a good fit for the company.

    Cons

The industry as a whole is under a lot of scrutiny. DeVry University and parent company (DeVry Education Group) are going above and beyond industry standard adherence to all government regulations and compliance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the great work.

I worked at DeVry University full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

It was a pleasure to work here at the Miami Campus. The dean and his staff made me feel part of their team while my position was long term temporary thru an agency. During this time I had the opportunity to work different duties while I assisted the Operations Support Coordinator. I enjoyed it very much.

    Cons

My position was long term temporary thru a agency; therefore, I was not able to experience the benefits and pluses of being employed by the school directly.

    Pros

Great opportunity to help other students who are having trouble in their classwork
Job is flexible - can change hours as needed
Federal-Work Study (FWS) program pays a decent wage

    Cons

Tutoring work tends to get very slow at times - need to keep busy doing other tasks, such as homework

I have been working at DeVry University part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

As a student worker, I was able to meet most of the faculty and employees on campus. Networking through them, I was able to interview with many other different companies and land a great job.

    Cons

The school has made major cutbacks, failed at addressing enrollment and graduate rates, and are not able to meet the students' needs. (They are constantly adjusting which has helped to an extent)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay in tune with outside communities and markets, so the school never falls behind.
