    Not perfect, but close

    Account Executive (Current Employee)

ProsCompany paid insurance, lots of freebies, flex scheduling, laid-back, best-in-class products/services and making significant improvements. They try really hard to get feedback from both customers and staff to make improvements. The improvements over the past 6 months have been significant. It really is a good place to be.

ConsVery little time off; lack training and meaningful staff development programs. It is a free-for-all in sales with everyone doing their own thing. The CRM is not very good and can slow down the sales process.

Advice to Senior ManagementIt is obvious that Dean is trying to improve some areas of opportunity, and he has taken a good approach. Keep improving and please review the time off - it's really low for a company that is so generous in other ways.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

ProsAmazing coworkers! The people at DEA really know how to make one feel like a part of the family. The job is a relaxed, open concept environment. Not a lot of micro-managing. You can pretty much go about your day however you like as long as you are taking calls and working on open tickets.

ConsThe tier structure is a joke. When encountered with a situation you are unfamiliar with, you are told to ask for help. When you ask for help, the Tier 2's want to ask a thousand questions and are reluctant to want to help out. The job itself is rather boring as well. If you enjoy sitting at a desk and doing nothing for 75% of your day, this is the job for you. I prefer being on my feet more often and not married to a phone.

Advice to Senior ManagementRemove the tiered structure. It doesn't work. All being a Tier 2 means is not getting barked at for being in "do not disturb." Everyone should be in the same queue. If someone needs to work on something, then simply go into DnD. Being a T2 or SSE should not allow you to simply ignore your phone all day.

    Experience has been fair.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsEmployees are nice. Office is nice but too open...very quiet

ConsNo professional growth oppotunites....no additional training or on boarding program, no spiffs for recognition, unattainable quotas in the sales department, company is doing well but is low staffed and doesn't even have a referral bonus in place for recruiting. Lots of recent turnover and management offers very little vision for the future.

Advice to Senior ManagementSpeed up development cycles to keep pace with competition. Offer more recognition to all staff to help unify the company. Improve work life balance or you will continue to lose employees.

    So-so software and no-no management

    Regional Account Executive (Current Employee)
    Denver, CO

ProsGood customer base and name recognition. The product was solid a few years back but competitors are very quickly catching up and in most cases surpassing our technology.

ConsControl-freak of an owner. Little to no recognition given. Very little vacation time. The most quiet sales floor I've ever experienced. Lots of complacency at the top. Seems like owner is just waiting to sell and get out. Lots of people leaving.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to those who have knowledge and experience in areas that you don't.

It is a great place to work with no micro management but promotion opportunities are very scarce.

    Regional Account Manager (Current Employee)
    Greenwood Village, Arapahoe, CO

Prosgreat work life balance, no micro management, great place to learn, great employees, industry leading product, plenty of references, company is always looking to grow.

Consmanagement is too hands off, not all vertical markets are treated equally, lack of promotion opportunities, owner is a control freak, development of product caters to some verticals but ignores others which is frustrating to the sales people in those markets

Advice to Senior ManagementIf you truly want to grow the only way is to have the owner give up some control and trust employees and managers by deligating. The owner having ultimate control is the reason why the company hasn't grown as fast as it could.

    Friendly People

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Greenwood Village, Arapahoe, CO

ProsPeople are friendly and take the time to have real conversations with one another.
Health and dental insurance, casual atmosphere.

ConsVacation time accrues at a slow rate.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement should make an effort to encourage the company's various departments to more openly communicate and support each another. Delegation of responsibilities could be more evenly spread out.

    Dean Evans - bad experience

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Greenwood Village, Arapahoe, CO

Prossome of the people are friendly, convenient location, covered parking

ConsOwner is paranoid as far as monitoring what everyone is doing. A very closed environment, much witholding information among top management.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat your employees with respect and be fair, try not to be so obvious with who your favorites are

Good culture. Fun place to work

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    Pros- fun place to work
    - good culture
    - open access to management
    - great product and good reputation in market

Cons- pay is a bit below market. Some area more so than others
    - very conservative in terms of growing the company

Advice to Senior ManagementOverall good company. Would recommend looking again at currently pay rates. Market is getting better and pay rates have fallen below what other companies are paying.
