    Pros

Perhaps the best thing for me is the team, the branch I work in is so friendly and supportive, not cliquey it's just lovely. There are informative motivating meetings each morning, yes there is pressure to achieve as a store and as an individual but that's good! I find the sales managers to be passionate about their jobs and supportive to their teams. I find if you give your best you will be appreciated there!

    Cons

Nowhere is perfect and without its issues but there are no issues for me!

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Debenhams part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

A lot of tasks to do, everyone is fairly friendly, get to work for a well known company.

    Cons

Staff unprofessional at times, terrible training scheme - I was told 1 day in advance which dept I would be working on and where, staff slack off in fitting rooms, rude and racist remarks from staff to customers behind their backs, you are pushed with 'targets' to sell people into debt via credit cards, didn't tell me about sudden rota changes several times.

    Advice to Management

Improve recruitment process - we all either had to come into store to reply to the phone calls we received or call endless times to a number that was unresponsive. I literally had to call head office and customer services to get hold of the relevant person who was recruiting.
