    Pros

Flex work schedule, good pay and benefits

    Cons

Overloaded with work. Training is lacking and it's learn as you go. Mentoring is ok but needs to be improved.

    Advice to Management

Hire more qualified people at the top so they can manage the workers at the bottom.

    Pros

flexible work schedule (telework and maxi flex); middle management is proactive and sincerely cares about workforce; for federal government very age diverse workforce; lots of opportunity to learn (in YOUR field)

    Cons

-parking downtown sucks, you have to pay to park in a decent area
    -no onsite HR personnel
-orientation/in processing of new employees disorganized

    Advice to Management

Selecting official/panel should inform candidates of culture surrounding santa ana (parking, homeless people); consider expanding the conference room

    Pros

DCMA is a great place to work. There is a lot of teamwork and collaboration is encouraged. Everyone is extremely personable and the office setting is casual and loose. There is plenty of freedom to do your job and the supervisors trust their employees to get the job done right.

    Cons

The Agency works in extreme inefficiency, and processes take way longer than they should. There is also a back log of elder workers whom refuse to retire and as such upward mobility is limited.

    Advice to Management

Reduce the waste and redundancy in the processes, especially in HR.

    Pros

I love my team. Great supervisor (very approachable) and down to earth), great team lead (very knowledgeable and does not mind training you), and great team members (all smiles).

It will be difficult to relocate considering my team lead's wealth of knowledge and the skill to train his team members (Most people lack the skill to be trainer's even if their job position requires that they train others). It is rare to find so I am learning as much as I can from him.

My supervisor is simply the best! Very straight forward and direct and I am a sensitive person, however no one could ask for a better supervisor.

    Cons

I have nothing negative to say about DCMA Chicago!

    Advice to Management

    None

    Pros

Great team and benefits (Alternate Work Schedules, Competitive Salaries, Federal Employee Retirement System, Flexible Spending Accounts, Flexible Work Environment, Life Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance, Paid Holidays, Vacations & Leave Time, Thrift Savings Plan).

    Cons

The onboarding process can take a little while, from the moment I applied to interview, about 2 months, from interview to offer, about 2 months. But it was worth the wait. I have nothing negative to say about the agency.

    Advice to Management

Continue to work on already existing initiatives such as ways to identify, develop, and grow talented employees with leadership potential.

    Pros

Federal benefits, Foot in the door

    Cons

Agency doesn't care about the well being or effectiveness of their employees, Manassas/ Chantilly is not interested in growing/ developing their employees and have a "you're replaceable!" attitude, No one is interested in improving the working environment of the agency and have largely decided Manassas/ Chantilly is a lost cause, Leadership counting down days to retirement and not interested in making decisions/ doing their jobs, Their replacements will be hired from the outside, Supervisors caddy with their subordinates

    Advice to Management

    Quit.

    Pros

The salary was terrific. The medical and dental benefits were outstanding.

    Cons

I had no office. I had a computer in the conference room. Very bad. No communication between team members. They relied solely on email which can be faulty if you miss reading a message.

    Advice to Management

Be more open to open communication. Be more team-oriented.

    Pros

    Benefits are good and 401K

    Cons

They are fake, not willing to make any changes. Not willing to really train you, Not a good place to work, very stressful. People are going to set you up to fail and talk about you behind your back. I would recommend finding a better environment .

    Advice to Management

Grow up and stand behind the innocent
