I have been working at Defense Contract Management Agency full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great training opportunities, flexible work schedules, nice compensation, job stability, upward mobility, etc. I started with the Agency as a GS-5 Keystone. Within 10 years, I have completed my Bachelors & Masters degrees and currently hold a GS-13 position. If you apply yourself and take advantage of the opportunities presented to you, you can succeed. Determination and hard work will pay off.

    Cons

I have no cons to report.

I have been working at Defense Contract Management Agency full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The agency has many programs to help with training and upward mobility. The Keystone program is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door and to learn a job and get paid to do so. It is a 3 year program that teaches you your job series and has milestones to keep you on track. There are opportunities with Special Programs and International to gain more experience and support the warfighter.

    Cons

One of the challenges is the inconsistency with how and who should receive training of the upper echelon courses.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider direct feedback from the front line workers to gain a working understanding of jobs, roles and needs before creating policy.

I worked at Defense Contract Management Agency full-time

    Pros

The compensation is a bit better than industry in Quality Assurance.

    Cons

Once you are in the Quality Directorate of DCMA Atlanta, you are stuck!! If try and move to another location to advance your career you have a 95% chance that you will never be called for the open position within the Agency. The Atlanta QA office has little regard for your career advancement as they only focus on their respective mission.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This would be an absolute waste of time
