Pros

Fair salary. Flexible schedule. Fun environment. Good partnerships with my peers. Made lasting friendships. Enjoyed most of the food ;) My store hosted 2 Monster truck "meet n' greet's".

Cons

Not being entitled to overtime as a salary manager and doing the same work as hourly employes.I never liked the uniforms for management. Dress code should just be business casul.

Advice to Senior Management

Not really any advise. Del Taco just seems to be the "same old' thing".

Pros

Co-workers are friendly enough even if they are not that fluent in English. You can get a lot of hours if you want to.

Cons

Expected to learn fast and is extremely fast paced. A lot of new hires quit very quickly because they could not handle the fast pace. My manager was not very fluent in english, so sometimes he had difficulty getting his point across.

Pros

they give you the opportunity to be apart of every job duty available . for example im the grill cook and im also learning drive threw and front cashier . im trying to become a shift leader and they are very helpful with my goals . management is great with giving me time off and also giving me plenty of hours of work ! you learn spanish and you learn how to deal with different types of customers on a daily !

Cons

i can honestly say there are no cons for me . im not having any problems or doubts with the deltaco i work at . all is fair here .

Advice to Senior Management

take some time to get to know your employers just a bit . it will help you understand or get to know there abilities or there limits as to what they can do at the work pace .

Pros

The economy sucks and the company is still growing. People like cheap food so at least its a stable income. The company has good ideas behind the business. They offer something that no one else does, and it has made them successful.

Cons

The biggest downside to Del taco is also the economy. Management knows that the job market is tough so they get away with skimping on labor and demanding more from their employees than they should. And in return they don't have to offer benefits cause they know people will work there any way.

Advice to Senior Management

Management has the toughest job in Del Taco because they get caught between the employees that they know are struggling and the corporate side that is growing and expanding. The managers at least where Im at aren't earning what most managers make. But its enough to make the job worth keeping. The biggest advise i have to any manager at Del Taco is make it fun. That makes everything worth it. Del Taco is not a bad company. They are just smart enough to get the most out of a tough economy.

Pros

Co-workers are wonderful, food is great, and the work schedule is flexible if you already have another job or for personal reasons.

Cons

There is not much opportunity for advancement, once you make shift manager you are pretty much stuck there and the pay is bad compared to other restaurants.

Advice to Senior Management

Need to be competitive with pay when compared with other fast food places and treat the employees better. Other than that everything is good.

Pros

i like meeting the people that come in. i like the work, i like being around food.

Cons

some of the people i work with can be a little hard to work with.

Advice to Senior Management

just because you think the people you make shift learders desever it really dont. the ones you praise arent really that good.

Pros

the give many flexible hours. it is usually a very friendly environment. It is also fairly easy to work there.

Cons

The schedule may get changed and no one will notify you. When we get new items and promotions no one explains them to you before you start working.

Advice to Senior Management

You need to better train employees on new items and promotions before they start working. Also better discipline for those who are skipping work and calling out for no good reason.

Pros

When guests inform you that you're doing an awesome job. The fact that there's always something to do and its fun doing it.

Cons

The management team rarely compliments some one when a good job is done well. But when a mistake is made, they make you feel stupid.

Advice to Senior Management

My advice for the mangement team is to treat everyone the same. This being said, not because is not comfortable working with some one they'll allow them to work how ever they please with out any warning. Also that managers should be able to take care of their responsibilities and not ask a cashier to do it for them, in the customer service way

Pros

Free meals. Nothing else has a pro about it other than there is a del taco on ever corner. Thats it

Cons

Schedules are porrly made!! Management doesn't care about employees!! Work for years without a promotion or raise!! Hot at hell!!

Advice to Senior Management

Actually care about your employees rather than just thing of them as a body to fill a postion. Personal things do come up!!

Pros

i love my G.M. he makes coming to work exciting and fun. i have been presented with growth within the company very fast. love the food. love my hours. love my co-workers.

Cons

some co-workers have personal problems which creates big challenges. I dont feel that it is right that i am a shift leader and make less than the cooks, but have more responsibility.

Advice to Senior Management

keep up the good work, but when someone comes to you with a very valid problem, you should address the problem so that the situation doesnt worsen months down the road.
