Coworkers are helpful, nice and the working environment is great. Manager needs to help more instead of been absent.

    Cons

There are some regular costumers whom are a handful.

    Pros

Small place. The work is alright if you work the grill, I guess.

    Cons

One person making fries, quesadillas, burgers, beans, chicken, steak, AND heating up things for the other parts of the store? It's not too bad, except when lunch or dinner rush hits. Then things get crazy and your manager fusses at you for not being "fast enough" when you're just trying to follow the damn cooking times and health protocols. And if you burn the made-in-store beans? Expect the management to yell at you about how those beans are essentially the lifeblood of the store and crucial to sales and "why didn't you take care of them when they were ready?", even though you had your hands full at the time and couldn't do anything in the middle of lunch rush.

    Advice to Management

    BE REALISTIC, I'M ONLY HUMAN

    Pros

The food and the concept is excellent.

    Cons

Corporate has no idea what the field needs are. The are turning Management into paper pushing secretaries. No clue about all the favoritism that occurs. Profit monger s and threats...false promises.

    Advice to Management

You can get a clue about how to cough up some labor dollars so your teams can do what you want. Don't allow Area Management to favor labor to certain stores for any reason. Make sure you don't buy into the butt kissers and b.s. you are being told. Invest in your employees today because many will be there for you tomorrow. Give your managers a voice too!

    Pros

Flexible hours, opportunity for advancement, Worked great for me when I was going to high school and had football games and practice.

    Cons

Minimum wage. Sometimes it gets crazy busy and there is not always an adequate number of employees. It also gets very hot in the kitchen.

    Advice to Management

Invest in employee education and sales tactics so the employees can upsell products. Hire more staff during the busy time.

    Pros

Fast Paced and a blast to work with sometimes like minded team members who share the same position and mind state of getting the job done no matter what it takes.

    Cons

Can be overwhelming at times for people who cannot handle pressure well and choose to complain versus stepping up to the challenges.

    Advice to Management

Understand the high demands of the team and the effects of running low labor requirements versus guest satisfaction and speedbof service.

    Pros

You develop great relationships with customers who are always ordering from Del Taco. Great people and can sometimes have a little freedom if management aren't very strict.

    Cons

Bad environment, no future ahead of you, sometimes customers can be very rude to you while taking orders. Can be stressful at rush hour times. this job is only for people who just wants to make money on the side. No passion or ambition behind this job in my honest opinion.

    Advice to Management

    Work on your leadership.

I have been working at Del Taco part-time

    Pros

I'm home schooled, I am 16 years old as of 4/23/2015 i've been working with del taco for almost 3 weeks. Im scheduled to work 3 days out of a week but sometimes 2 BUT, im on call almost everyday, they always call me ( I do my best at work so I think they like my work ), Co-Workers are super friendly, easy to get along, 50% off food really comes in handy for your 30min lunch break.

    Cons

I had no training, DAY i felt like crying, they through me into the work force that day WITH NO TRAINING WHAT SO EVER. I had to learn 80% of it on my own, but then again i wasnt afraid to ask questions on what to do, within 3 days i had mastered the cashier, within 5 days i was already on drive through without training.

    Advice to Management

TRAIN EMPLOYEES/ LISTEN TO THEIR ADVICE.
