I worked at Delaware North Companies full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Working conditions were ok. 401k plan was very good. Equipment and condition of facilities were adequate. Shifts were good, very little flexibility but not much Overtime, did not over work the employees.

    Cons

Constant turnover caused by poor management. Worked in a department where we were asked to do things that at times crossed the line of ethical. Pay scale was VERY low compared to other companies. Constant change of rules, and the way policies were applied to employees was not consistent

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of your employees, quit changing the rules of the game in the middle. Consistent use of policy across all lines would have been a great idea. Do not think that upper management is in touch with the workers.

    Pros

Discounts, ok benefits, ok time off

    Cons

Too many "bosses", some co-workers are geared more towards their own star shining with no concern to others, paying $35 per week to park

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen more to the people who actually do the work.

I have been working at Delaware North Companies

    Pros

There is great potential with this company. The company has great ideas about new projects along with partnerships for the future.

    Cons

The old school culture of work hard with no work life balance. The thought of your only working hard only when you get down an dirty, regardless of title. The stifle creativity and does not build any time of team/family atmosphere. Teams are not set up for success

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To build a more balance team with skill sets to make sure people compliment each other. To move forward in this work world in the future you have to look outside the box.

    Pros

I enjoyed the network of support from the management team.

    Cons

We should have had more Leigh way to pay the hourly employees a higher wage, if we had paid more, we probably would have had a lower turnover.

    Cons

Poor work-life balance and the CEO is extremely disrespectful of the employees at every level.
