I have been working at Delaware North part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The best reasons to work with this company is to achieve longevity, loyalty and career advancement opportunities. The staff members are very warm and welcoming.

    Cons

Some of the challenges that one would experience with this company are that it is a fast paced company, and you have to follow the rules to the letter. There is no room for screw ups. Professionalism and a great personality is mandatory. I enjoy working with my peers and managers to maintain a successful and satisfactory environment for our guests, one guest at a time.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to be more proactive to the needs of the employees, especially where supplying uniforms is concerned. I believe that first impressions are lasting impressions. Therefore clean neat uniforms should be maintained by employees and employers equally.

I have been working at Delaware North full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working with professional level concessions, MLB, NFL etc. work we great volunteer groups of people Rewarding atmosphere feels great to help out the causes these groups work towards.

    Cons

Low pay Long hours Management isn't very supportive The division of power is unorganized The GM doesn't connect with his employees on a person level. Yet he loves to tell us everything that it's wrong. Zero room for professional growth not many chances to move up. 18 hour days sometimes

    Advice to Management

Connect more with employees, get to know them. Offer opportunities for advancement No one likes a boss that constantly gives orders it makes it easier for them to leave. Make progress reports use constructive criticism to make the workplace a better place to be. Offer more than just an hourly job

I worked at Delaware North (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is a nice environment to work in. you get to meet a lot of nice people. It is in the heart of downtown Cleveland, Ohio. The bosses are cool and understanding.

    Cons

There really long hours of standing on your feet, moving around in a big staduim non stop. Sometimes you are on your feet running from floor to floor in a big stadium. There is little down town to get any breather. Sometimes I didn't work if the team was not in town to play.

I worked at Delaware North part-time

    Pros

Worked at the bills training camp and was able to buy items at a discount at the end of training camp. Good quality. fun and was able to joke around and be there.

    Cons

The higher-ups were just as you would expect them. working at a bills training camp they went to school for sports management and were very hectic when setting up and taking down.

    Advice to Management

Let the people go watch the practice and don't cool the tent at night. It was so cold. maybe lunch vouchers for a few dollars to get the vendors business. Longer breaks
