Pros
learning opportunity, good salary, big company
Cons
outsourceable, too big, volatile job
Advice to Senior Management
none
Pros
If you like a fast paced environment is the place to be, and real effort is made to make you feel part of a team, and to do extra activites that really create that sense of comradery.
Cons
Work life balance is not always easily managed there due to fast made decisions that trickle down to front line employees too fast.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep doing what you are doing.. try to mitigate the issues with work life balance.
Pros
The best reason to work for Dell is the amount of freedoms provided to the employees. The work conditions are more relaxed then others. It used to have a positive culture (not the case anymore). It is a fast moving company with little focus on the micro management and more on helping the employees feel empowered. Everything within the company is transparent, you can see the position of anyone you talk to in an instant. The culture is also relaxed, the managers look like the employees and you cannot tell the difference. An equal workplace that does not focus on status.
Cons
company changes quickly, profit drives the business, easily outsourced and pro-outsourcing.
Advice to Senior Management
Dell Canada needs better moral, where are the leaders?
Pros
Simple, Well Trainned, Motivated. There is alot of mentoring
Cons
Easy Lay offs. Too much call volumes. Shifts are not flexible
Advice to Senior Management
Keep promoting, Save jobs and give well in advance notice
Pros
Happy work environment. The people and the customers actually make it worth driving into work!
Cons
The fact it's closing at the end of July. I would have been able to see myself moving up the ladder in that building
Advice to Senior Management
Don't close! LOL. but seriously, listen to your agents strengths
