Good expereince. Got outsourced to Perot Systems and the experience was not bad.

Database Senior Specialist (Former Employee) Woonsocket, RI

ProsPerot systems was a good place to work. The history of the company and the rate at which Ross Perot grew the company was impressive. I was outsourced to Perot and the experience working for Perot was not bad at all.

ConsThere was no room for growth in the technical line. After being in perot for 5.5 years, did not get an opportunity to grow at all.

Advice to Senior Managementcreate enough heirarchy in the technical groups so that people can aspire for growth.

Worked hard, always available...would do whatever it took to get the job done.....but got kicked to the curb!

Business Systems Senior Analyst (Former Employee) Providence, RI

ProsGood pay, but carried over from PerotSystems. I enjoyed working for Dell, then I saw how they handled me when they laid me off. They said you are a great employee, nothing you did, BUT we are cost cutting. Do they realize what happens to people's lifes at that point....I had a son in college and a grandaughter I was trying to support.

ConsThey don't care who they let go, just as long as the budget gets cut.Once they acquired PerotSystems they came in and laid off loads of good hard working employees that really knew there jobs. All of these jobs were filled with associates from India. You cannot take 20+ years of experience and load it into somebody in a day. Very sad the unemployment rate in R.I. is high, and alot of those employess were laid off from Dell.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop letting go of the SME's.....these are the people that keep the work going. They are smart dedicated employees, what is senior management thinking?? Maybe someone needs to focus on them!

Consno parking at our account site, minimal raises for Associates, no employee morale, do more with less mentality

Advice to Senior Managementpay attention to your lower tiered staff. most often they will tell you what is really going on

Dell Services has not changed the way associates are compensated or the culture of the acquired Perot accounts

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Providence, RI

ProsDynamic environment if you are not worried about being laid off because your job is outsource to India

ConsThe creation of Dell Services which includes the acquisitions of Perot Accounts has not provided much change to the way the current account's culture or improved communications and employee recognition and raises as it was with Perot

Advice to Senior ManagementTake the opportunity to embrace the Dell Culture and provide associates more opportunities for advancement. Communicate to all levels not just Management who does not communicate down. It is not Perot anymore

Good springboard opportunity, not to stay

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Providence, RI

ProsChallenging work, ability to move job positions frequently, dynamic environment

ConsPayroll seems to mess everything up, performance reviews are all 'fixed', no way you will be rewarded for good work, never even a 'thank you' never mind a raise or bonus

Advice to Senior ManagementReward your people!

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
