Pros
Knowledge, experience, exposure, learning, is unlike any other. The rate which Deloitte allows one to do all of those things is incredible. It makes one much more competitive compared to industry folks.
Cons
Culture is very political. It's not good enough to do a really great job at a client. It's also about who you know.
Advice to Senior Management
Your people are your biggest asset, treat them as such.
Pros
well educated people that are ambitious
Cons
long hours with unfair related compensation
Advice to Senior Management
staff retention
Pros
Good brand name
High professional network
Existing client base
Other than this everything is on the negative side. Look for following sections.
Cons
No respect for peers
Biased senior management
No fairness for upward growth, it is driven by networking and not by the skills
Unusual performance management
Advice to Senior Management
You are constantly loosing some of the best talent, and you know that very well, however you do not care about it. Only time will tell how only a brand name can survive your business.
Pros
Deloitte (or any of the Big 4) are a great place to get started in a career. You will learn a ton in a short period of time, plus get very good pay and raises compared to other jobs.
Cons
There is always work to be done, so the hours in Big 4 firms are very tough, especially once you have a family. Between commuting and working, you will spend around 50 hours during non-busy periods, and 65+ during peak times. These aren't things that can really be improved much, it's just the nature of the business.

Pros
Great place to launch your career, worked with smart people, and many opportunities to manage complex engagements.
Cons
Work/life balance; You work your butt off for partners who most likely won't stand in your corner when you need their support; always need to cover your butt.
Advice to Senior Management
Be honest with the staff and put more action behind mentoring and counseling, not just lip service.
Pros
Brand name recognition. Good place to build experience.
Cons
Extensive Travel and work/life balance
Advice to Senior Management
Open communication
Pros
it is a great place to work
Cons
Long Hours are sometimes required

Pros
Experience having big 4 on your resume. They promise many things when you are being recruited initially but do not deliver them at the end of the year. Parners are always trying to get paid as much as possible and do not care about anyone below Sr. Manager level. Very back stabbing culture at Manager and Sr. Manager level because everyone is competing for same good projects. Reivews are done by the project manager on the current engagement and not by the client, so really difficult to asses correct performance.
Cons
Politcs and New York office running the whole company
Advice to Senior Management
Dont treat people like they are just another number
Pros
Not very many. Compensation is fair, work life balance can be better than at other Big Four Firms. There are many highly intelligent people, and if you get in with the right team, you can do very well.
Cons
Our leadership is a disaster. They are incompetent and have the worst communication skills. There is a great deal of overlap in service lines, which leads to in-fighting for clients and projects. Bonuses are not in line with competitor firms. There can be a great deal of travel based on your service line. Local markets are no developed, and the right people are not in charge. Management in my group is ineffective and incapable of developing a strong practice.
Advice to Senior Management
Not much - there is very little that could actually change.
Pros
The consulting life style. Loved the hotel points and Airline miles. Also depends on which partner you work for. I have seen some really excellent partners and some really bad ones. There is a lot of focus on networking which is good but at the same time promotes sycophancy. Some times it feels like the bigger the ass you are, the better you do in the firm. Also the feedback process is too one sided and one negative feed back from a manager with whom you did not get along on a project can destabilize your careed in the company.
Cons
Hierarchical. Promote ASS KISSING in the guise of networking.
Advice to Senior Management
Discourage stupid politics at workplace.
