Lots of exposure to different clients

Reviews and advancement are very subjective
You do not have much choice in what you work on
You will work any time as needed, and emails late into the night are smiled upon

Show appreciation for employees hard work, and respect different working styles of individuals.

1) No respect for your personal time - there is no work/life balance
2) Expectations are communicated and status given, however, something always seems to come up to imped a promotion
3) Do not believe that everyone will make Partner / Director
Advice to Senior Management
1) Be more respectful of people's lives and respect work / life balance
2) Level with people more fully about their career potential in the firm - do not continue to lead people on about promotion possibilities when it is clearly not in the cards
3) If you want to retain people, you are going to have to make the salaries more reflective of what can be obtained in industry - right now, Deloitte is behind industry for a very demanding job

Sharper stratgeic focus on key service offerings with more investment in building high level of competence in these areas rather than breadth of services

More aknowldegement to those who deserve it. When you have all type A's working together, work life balance is a theory of the past.

- Not a meritocracy : Promotions are awarded based on personal relationships
- No clear approach on how to conduct engagements
- Deloitte work has very little substance
- Too much impact is put on office/community activities

Need to pay and promote based on performance otherwise this will end up being a ship where most people at the top are not up to the job
Pros
At Deloitte you are surrounded with smart, profession and hard working people. They push the bar very high in terms of their performance, management and delivery . Absolute world class environment to work. If you want to bring something new to the organization, you can lead the effort and own it. Your consulting skills will be polished to become the best in industry.
Cons
Very easy to get lost in the big sea of competition. You should always be on the lookout to grab an opportunity that will differentiate you from others. Almost impossible to have a work life balance.

Keep up the good work in leading by examples. It is sometimes important to see outside the hierarchy and reach out to people for inputs.

they are good, look at the future, please stop following last in first out policy... you have lost many good guys because of this

Competency of peers and colleagues forces you to perform at your best. Career advancement in areas of interest and the ability to manage your own career.

Despite recent house-cleaning, there is still some disparity between the performance and competency of those in management roles. There is a need to define different career paths for employees in different streams and different goals.

Great work in communications over the past year! Lack of Quarterly Staff Meetings and some any social events is stifling the creation of internal networks and the ability of some of the newer practitioners to prosper.

Super talented peers, awesome environment, great volunteer opportunities, etc.

Can only be promoted at year-end, not enough visibility to what other functions of Deloitte are working on, not as easy to move around in the firm as one might think
