Great projects and good integrity, but too much non-billable work after regular working hours.

I have been working at Deloitte

    Pros

    - for experienced new hires Deloitte can be a great way to jump into consulting and get good experience fast.
    - very interesting projects
    - general culture of integrity

    Cons

    - way too much expected work outside of regular working hours
    - low pay, considering you work the same or more than employees at other similar firms
    - not a great place to start your career out of school, since BTA's are generally considered grunts and thrown into admin work. You can get better experience at other companies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create a dedicated global sales response organization instead of throwing sales work onto either:
    a) Bench warmers who cannot properly respond to an RFP
    b) Billable resources who are already working full time on their projects

Slim up the performance management process as employees spend way too much time on this stuff.
