    I absolutely love working here.

Senior Consultant (Current Employee) Vancouver, BC (Canada)

    Pros- Very strong/positive work culture
    - Work/life balance
    - Lots of career development/learning opportunities (training, etc.)

    Cons- Under paid
    - Not much of a say on which projects you want to work on

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Great projects and good integrity, but too much non-billable work after regular working hours.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Vancouver, BC (Canada)

Pros- for experienced new hires Deloitte can be a great way to jump into consulting and get good experience fast.
    - very interesting projects
    - general culture of integrity

Cons- way too much expected work outside of regular working hours
    - low pay, considering you work the same or more than employees at other similar firms
    - not a great place to start your career out of school, since BTA's are generally considered grunts and thrown into admin work. You can get better experience at other companies.

Advice to Senior ManagementCreate a dedicated global sales response organization instead of throwing sales work onto either:
    a) Bench warmers who cannot properly respond to an RFP
    b) Billable resources who are already working full time on their projects

Slim up the performance management process as employees spend way too much time on this stuff.

    Good start to my career

Senior Associate (Current Employee) Vancouver, BC (Canada)

ProsGreat people to work with and really supportive environment. Although busy season was tough, my peers helped each other out to get through it.

ConsThe upper management of a team sometimes forget the realities of an engagement, and therefore, deliver too high of an expectation. This causes burn out for the remaining members of the team who have to work with unrealistic goals.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe whole team should come together and discuss what is a realistic timeline of an audit engagement and ensure that staffing is appropriate.

Place to Grow but make sure you know your Exit plan

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Vancouver, BC (Canada)

ProsThe people are great, ability to challenge yourself with new projects was also really good, benefits are the best I've gotten in my career.

    ConsPolitics and back stabbing
    Over worked and under appreciated

Advice to Senior ManagementRealize you have some great people working for you, acknowledge them and be thankful

    Atrocious

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Vancouver, BC (Canada)

Pros-You get to work with lots of young people who are working toward the same thing and you can share your sentiments with them.
-Also provides a good social foundation for building and maintaining contacts to have throughout your career.

    Cons-Work/life balance not respected
-Senior management is very disconnected from the attitudes of it's staff
    -People can be very petty.
-The tone is very negative at the top and it extends through to the junior staff
    -Morale is VERY low
-People are overworked, underpaid and underappreciated. A thank you can go a long way!

Advice to Senior ManagementSenior management needs to be aware of the attitudes of it's junior staff. They're the ones that drive the work and line their pockets so treat them properly. People work hard for those they respect and feel respected by! Vancouver is a small market and word travels fast about your reputation so be mindful of the attitudes of your staff!

    Terrible Experience

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Vancouver, BC (Canada)

Pros-work with large group of young people

    Cons-very low morale
    -no respect for work/life balance
-slave atmosphere where leadership leads through fear
-significantly lower salary at same position levels compared to other big 4 in Vancouver
-lack of partner involvement with staff (no representation at ufe party events where other firms have partners come out, lack of interaction iwth lower staff)

Advice to Senior Management-don't have people leading the firm who have only ever worked in public practice and don't understand how to run an actual business

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
