Work culture is stinking.. we need to completely throw out the current senior management team and start a fresh look and the growth of this place. clean the dirts quickly or you will be loosing the gems very soon

Great training. Developed global, international connections that are second to none. Deep problem solving culture. Strong process discipline. Leader in applying lean knowledge to enterprise business processes.
Cons
Very demanding due to automotive expectations. If you experience a customer issue, employees are expected to work full time (24x7) until the issue is resolved.
Advice to Senior Management
Continue to spend time with your employees and take a moment to thank them for their contributions. Many of them have committed significant time and made personal sacrifices to ensure that the job they are assigned gets completed and completed well.

Stop paying consultants to tell you what your team already knows--stop nitpicking small things and reward all of the team not just the executives

Dysfunctional processes, nonaligned cross-functional goals, poor development/HR support. Cross-functional communication poor. Too Lean in certain areas. Distant management employee relationships.
Advice to Senior Management
Spend 20% of your time in developing employees from the product / test level up. Make standard employees good engineering managers after 20 years. Make exceptional employees good executives in 10 years. Dismiss under performing employees.

large company, good reputation, lots of resources, management is very supportive when needed. engineering is very good as far as manufacturing engineering goes.

unionized plants for which labor costs are too high to operate. unable to shake the general motors culture. must be agressive in marketplace.
