I have been working at Delta Faucet full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The pros... Having a job allows me money to pay my bills. I have learned where I do not want to work.

    Cons

The cons... "at least I have a job". While this is true, it is definitely not something an upset employee wants to hear when they keep getting jerked around

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be honest with your people. Honesty goes a long way with people. If your people trust what yiu have to say, they can respect you and be more understanding when times get tough. Show your people how you would like then to behave.

I have been working at Delta Faucet full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Decent Pay and Insurance.
    Occasional free food.
    Ability to work OT.

    Cons

    Training is terrible
Very few in management have a clue what is happening on the floor.
Time studies are grossly inaccurate in one or two departments.
    401k match is mediocre.
As long as you're good with team leads you can get away with not working -- leaving the hard workers to carry others.
Management very unresponsive to any complaints unless they come from other management.
There is very little growth or movement to any better paying positions.
'Unpaid vacation' until you've been at the company for a certain amount of time.

If you're on salary, it's a great place with pension, 401k match and plenty of sick and vacation days.

If you're hourly, look somewhere else. It's easy to see that salaried employees write Delta's policies in regards to hourly workers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer more training or internships to those who are willing and capable to move up.
Consider that hourly workers are a backbone of the company and provide them with equal benefits to salaried employees.

I have been working at Delta Faucet full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Steady with fair wages. Great insurance until Obamacare destroyed the insurance industry. Facilities maintained pretty well.

    Cons

Salary workers are treated like royalty or military officers, hourly workers are treated like surfs or enlisted men.

If a salary person gets sick or has surgery they get FULL PAY and don't have to use vacation. An hourly only gets $300 a week (minus insurance premiums) AFTER using most of their vacation. Doctor statements aren't accepted for Hourly workers, Salary workers get 10 PAID sick days every year.

They did away with the hourly pension plan (which was lousy anyway) and replaced it with a slightly larger 401K match, Meanwhile the salary kept their massive pension plan, plus they get profit sharing, plus they get the same 401K match!

When I retire after 25 years I'll have zip; had I been on salary I would have at least $1,000 a month due me.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat hourly & salary the same. EVERYONE should get same benefits; reward education and degrees with salary, not more respect.

I have been working at Delta Faucet full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

More paid days off then previously,

    Cons

no raises if you have worked for company over a year. You have to work harder and faster on every job in the factory.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give some respect to employees and give everyone a raise not just new hires. Safety of employees needs to be considered in speeding up machines and taking people away from jobs making it more hazardous on our bodies,

    Pros

    Good people to work with.

    Cons

The current corporate office building needs to be expanded or move to new building. Very crowded as the business continues to grow.

I worked at Delta Faucet part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    different jobs that one performed

    Cons

having to work with a person or two with low morals, values, and standards
As well those who needed mental emotional and anger management. Got to work with a nasty person for lack of better words who was verbally abusive belittling, while my group leader did nothing. I was kept as temporary for a lifetime it seemed. While others who never set up lines, trained, ran lines managed to become full time only barely doing there job, due to favorism or being related to the right people. I never refused to do any job or perform and I always performed the best. I was able to do work every dept from repairs, plating, automatics, buffing, secondary, pvb but was not hired due to one employee black balling me. I worked willingly 7/10 hr days for 10 mos straight.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

select quality workers with healthy morals, values, standards instead those who suffer anger issues, that drags the quality energy as well as the life out of your better employees. If a person works every day for weeks, months and years in the same factory/business they are not part time/temporary. They deserve the same wages/benefits as the full time person. If you have a temporary more then a month then hire them.
