Pros
Demand has experienced tremendous growth over the last few years which, if not managed appropriately can lead to disaster; however, Demand has been able to hold on to it's core entrepreural values without discounting that it must adapt to bigger business process. It was bumpy at first, but there is a clear and inspiring direction that senior leadership stands behind. There is amazing talent in all locations that challenge the standard quo and push innovation to its limit. It is incredible to be part of something that will undoubtably transform the Internet and new media.
Cons
Because we are a part of something so big, we do a lot with a little. If you are willing to put in the time, you will for sure reap the benefits.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep giving us details about the company that make us proud to work here! We are inspired by the work that others are doing that keep pushing us forward!
Pros
It's a great place to work due to the somewhat diverse and relaxed culture. The Santa Monica office is sandwiched between the 3rd Street Promenade and the beach.
Cons
Meetings can be unproductive. The growth of the company has changed its culture from what it was a year or more ago in a negative way.
Advice to Senior Management
Keeping a relaxed culture yet being successful is very attractractive to talented people. If the company loses that then trouble awaits you.
Pros
Arranging for time off never a problem. Lots of great people.
Cons
Extremely poor senior management. No defined company direction.
Advice to Senior Management
Pick a direction and focus on it. There cannot be 15 simultaneous projects that are unrelated. There's no company that will buy Demand because no one needs 20 mediocre projects. You could sell ehow, and that's about it.
Pros
They pay pretty well. They are pretty cutting edge technology wise. You'll have lots of chances to work on big projects with the newest stuff. Training/Professional development is good.
Cons
Its a company with no real purpose. Every few months theres some new thing that we're "all about" and is going to make tons of money. Of course none of it ever works out. Its like the idea is throw things at the wall and see what sticks. Very old school dot-com feel.
I honestly can't see myself here more than the immediate next year or two. Mostly because everything is so in flux all the time, and whatever the big thing thats going to explode and be our flagship deal changes so much. Who knows what this company will be doing by then?
Advice to Senior Management
You don't need any more damn layers of management.
Pros
New company with many opportunities in the Los Angeles office.
Cons
Not many opportunities in the Bellevue office.
Advice to Senior Management
Improve communication to employees.
