the company that will not die

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Seattle, WA

ProsExcellent benefits, good compensation. Seattle office is in a great location.

ConsMost stressful job I've ever had, and it had nothing to do with the actual work. Very little internal cohesion between various business groups. No business pipeline. CEO has yet to foster any real sense of leadership.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe honest with employees and overall company goals. Refocus company towards R&D.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

ProsCompensation, co-workers, nice work environment, office culture

Consstress, regular layoffs, facility closures, horrible management, very political environment, lack of money, senior management very dishonest

Advice to Senior ManagementGet your act together, sell or file for bankruptcy. it is obvious that your vested interest is in GA.

ConsThere were mass hires even tho we sat around doing nothing?

    - Generally a professional environment
    - Willing to take suggestions for change

    Cons- Instability (Layoffs every year)

    - Focus on Quality is sometimes difficult
    - Lack of transparency

Advice to Senior ManagementSometimes listening to the ideas of your associates is vital; we have good ideas too!

Great product but companies financial managers blew it

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Seattle, WA

ProsGreat health benefits, good salary, and a great team of guys to work with. Excellent location downtown right above Pikes Place Market.

ConsConstant downsizing over the 3 year period I was there. Very difficult to get long term support from management team because of changes in the guard after each round of lay-offs

Advice to Senior ManagementOriginal board really let the employees down by misrepresenting the company and its finances to the general public. While this resulted in an initial surge in stock price it eventually tanked the company

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Great learning experience with many difficult hurdles to overcome

Commercial (Former Employee) Cecil Field, FL

ProsPassionate people that were very driven in the field.
    Aggressive pay structure
Touched many areas within an Oncology clinic that most product do not

ConsMore of a Device type format. Have to hand hold the entire process thru until final payment.
High turn over in the field made it very difficult to manage and have customers gain confidence.
Baggage inherited around initial poor reimbursement was difficult to overcome and made it a long process to get customers back. Time that we did not have.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe more open in hiring people into leadership positions with diverse back grounds into the mix. Many people were from JNJ and Amgen. This type of thinking let to group think and limited diverse solutions that could have helped the company.

loved the people I worked with for the most part. Executive leadership destroyed this company

Material Handler II (Former Employee) Morris Plains, NJ

Prosgreat people...great pay....bad leadership.. a lot of excitement and enthusiasm turned into disappointment as senior management drove this company into the ground...mitch gold should be in jail.

Conschanged the schedule too many times...management did not know how to delegate and instead micromanaged everything.

Advice to Senior Managementyou should all be fired...mitch gold and john Johnson are idiots

Full of promise and hope, fell short in the end.

Let's Just Say IT (Former Employee) Seattle, WA

ProsGood pay, decent folks, chance to work for a company trying to make a difference.

ConsPoor management. Poor management. Failed at making the transition from research company to commercial company. Ruthlessly punished by wallstreet for mistakes. Almost... Intentionally.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't fire those who know what's going on and bring in consultants who talk to no one, then make painful uneducated cuts in force,
