Good people, quality work, unfortunate product

    QC Associate I (Former Employee)
    Seal Beach, CA

ProsThe quality of the work at Dendreon was high. The people were reasonable and enjoyable to work with. Company is small so you knew a lot of people from different departments.

ConsProduct requires complicated processing which means if you work with the product hands on you are likely working on Graveshift. Financial issues continue to plague the company so stability is questionable.

Could had been a great company

    Mfg, Supervisor (Current Employee)

    ProsComp and benefits are great.

ConsManagement has no clue to what they are doing. Because of past RIF's moral is extremely low and people are over worked leaving no work life balance. It's unfortunate our exec leadership do not seem to really know how things are being ran and what people are feeling.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet in touch with your employees. Stop relying on so called directors giving you the details and realize we have a huge problem. Many of the problems are happening because of the Managers and Director level. No communication or respect with the Supervisor and associates

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Unstable

    Mfg, Supervisor (Current Employee)

ProsGreat Benefits and Salary. Co-workers are awesome!

ConsThe company has had 2 RIF's in the last couple of years. The company is not stable. I am a Mfg. Supervisor and our direct managers are very incompetent and condescending, Very low low moral, I have never worked at a company where the moral is so low. Horrible culture! No work life balance especially if you work in manufacturing.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet it together. You said you were going to be transparent this time around and that has turned out to be smoke in mirrors

ProsCasual environment, good pay and great location

ConsThere have been 2 rounds of layoffs in the past 2 years. So, there is no job security.

Advice to Senior ManagementIn the past three years several products have been implemented and decommissioned. There is no thinking through what is really needed.

Good learning experiences but only through self-motivation and observation

Cell Processing Associate II (Former Employee)
    Morris Plains, NJ

ProsGood colleagues, opportunity to work with an innovative cellular therapy in both clinical trials and production phase.

Conslack of leadership gave way to unproductive competition within the same site that eventually was one of the three that was shutdown.
