I have been working at Denny's

    Pros

If you train during your busiest times esp only giving three days to train you still do not know everything!!!!!!!!!!

    Cons

Need more then 3 days to actually train and proper training to know the comp system the side duties study menu and where things are. I hate feeling lost.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please please implement proper traning even at the franchises...and not train during your most busiest times...never get the complete scope of things when you do not get the complete info you need to do the jobcuz its too busy

    I worked at Denny's part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

It's a good opportunity to make tips starting out and offered me flexibility to attend college. Lots of regular guests make it enjoyable.

    Cons

Must work all holidays, and can be without holiday compensation at franchise stores. Any serving position requires patience but particularly with Denny's, especially late night. Advancement into management opportunities pay less than serving but offer a guaranteed salary and hours. Benefits are nonexistent or at least not worth it...$100 per pay check for healthcare only to cover regular doctor visits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to show appreciation for employee's... Pay overtime on holidays and offer benefit packages to associates that are offered to management.
