    Cons

The number of calls you get in a day. Can get pretty dull. A bit of pressure on sales.

    I worked at Desjardins

    Pros

    Friendly environment (coworkers and managers).
    Less sales pressure than banks.
    Great pension fund!
Financial Advisor do the credit analysis themselves as opposed to sending files to a credit department.

    Cons

No better interest rates on loans, or better currency exchange rates and all the typical advantages at banks.
Less growth opportunities - limited to Quebec and a few opp. in Ontario.
Upper level management has very old mentality.
Operations are very inefficient, including use of newer technologies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change management to include younger, more dynamic managers who are ready for a change and want to use the newer technologies to better position the Caisse in this global world.

I have been working at Desjardins

    Pros

Major player in the game. Great market shares

    Cons

A lot of corruption in order to move up in the company. They will lead you into getting results but evaluations are made to disqualify the workload and efforts put into your daily job. Lack of proper coaching and team building. High turn over. A lot of employees leaving on burn out. The management policy is to let things go as they are and constantly work on issuing consequences instead of working on innovation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would recommend taking the time to listen to employees and have more reasonable evaluation procedures. I also recommend being more transparent and stop leading people into thinking they are advancing when the only plan is to drain employees. I also recommend to stop just blaming everything on everyone and work on finding solutions to issues instead of just committing the same ones.

I have been working at Desjardins full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Really nice co-workers, good support by management, good environment overall, a lot to learn and a lot of opportunities to grow

    Cons

Outdated tools for the workplace, not challenging enough, lack of motivation by some coworkers who seems overworked while some others looks like they have nothing to do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more agressive!! I fell like we are always on the defense, give us the tools to fight back! Cut on the management, it looks like managers are always on meetings and events but nothing new emerge.

    Pros

    Work-Life balance.

    Cons
