I have been working at Deutsche Bank full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Challenging environment to work. So you build up nerve for unorganised environment.

    Cons

    1. Systems are not in good shape. There are a lot of systems to learn before u learn process.
    2. Application are out of date. DB is still using SSR.
    3. Extra pressure on people managers as there are no team leaders. Managers r expected to do TL plus Manager job.
    4. Lot of politics.
    5. Performance evaluation is not transparent.
    6. Human resources department is not efficient at all.
    7. IT dept doesn't know what to do with most of the applications plus they work at a snail's speed to resolve any iT issues.
    8. Getting application for my staff was big headache. It used to take 2 to 3 months for an employee to get full access to required applications. Massive pain area.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It became circus when I was there. Estalished a team then they expected huge amount of cross training then they wanted staff saves then location move. All at once with no time to breath.
Technological updates are required. People should be focusing on process improvement rather than technology problems.
Need to make HR and IT dept efficient to help ur people work.

I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Global Organization, Great Market forray, Technology focused for Systems and Processes

    Cons

Highly Bureaucratic, most management is technology illiterate, technologist are just preferred for adhoc tech help not for working on strategic long term goals of systems , life cycles and their data and load thresholds

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You will have to hire, respect , promote and grow technologist in your organization , or all you get is poor cadre of management which is solely reliant on vendors for technology consulting , resulting in huge costs for new sw, poor quality systems and very high life cycle costs , as is the case now
