    Pros

Close to home. Paycheck on time.

    Cons

Promise new employees that the next level will be achievable; however, this does not happen. No metrics in place to achieve those results. No work life balance. All good employees leaving, and constant turn over. Sr. Management don't communicate effectively; manage by scare tactics. Also for minorities, very limited career potentials.

    Advice to Management

Bring in managers who have worked their way up locally and not from thee regions of the world.

    Pros

Good salary, that is why people stay

    Cons

    Too political
People that talk too much and concentrate attention and everyone's time in meetings normally get the best roles
    Lack of gender diversity
Senior management tend to favour staff that they have an affinity for,
Cultural change looks elegant in the policy documents, however most senior management are still bullies and don't actually do what they preach

    Advice to Management

Should be more objective and assess staff talents and potential objectively, as opposed to give opportunities just based on likeness
Culture change should be seriously adopted by senior management and lead by example

    Pros

High salaries & comfortable chairs to sit. Nothing else is worth it. The world thinks that you are a star working in CIB.

    Cons

Knucklehead leadership, false commitments by the company, extreme work hours, sick work culture, no team spirit. If you say 'NO' u get fired.

    Advice to Management

Learn to treat your employees well and they will partner in your success. Stop treating them like animals with a badge. Take care of their life balance.

    Pros

Good location in midtown manhattan. The pay was good and people were nice. Access to CapitalIQ and many other good sources to acquire knowledge

    Cons

Investment committees were a bit dull. A more through approach should be done when embarking in private equity investments. Specially when capital needs to be deployed and the company might lacking quality dealflow

    Advice to Management

Improve dealflow. Reinforce capabiltiies. Expand sources that can be used, Retain talent. (very good talent was left unattended and ended up leaving. Hire new managers from the industry

    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Entrepreneurial environment. Still growth in many businesses. Could really turn around with the right regional management and some hands on leadership

    Cons

Weak leadership and highly political. Very little diversity in several businesses. Management openly undermine new and upcoming women leaders. Needs to introduce a culture of accountability and consequence from the top down. Still in boys club mode which will continue to get them into trouble as a firm. NY is worse then other regions

    Advice to Management

Diversity should be an important element in management. Clear mandates and a path to success is in everyone's best interest and makes for a better quality of work. HR should play a more active role to educate management about unconscious bias and introduce a environment of accountability and consequence. I would steer away talent from DB for these reasons at the present but believe the platform could be stellar with the right people at the helm in NA
