Pros
challenging jobs in the bank
Cons
too short term for an iternship
Advice to Senior Management
more internship oppurtunities
Pros
Vacation days, benefits, pro sustainability, pro all inclusive workplace (Rainbow League, Women on Wall Street, Multi Cultural Partnership, etc.), opportunities for training.
Cons
Very lean company - some lines of business are more lean than others. The front office does not have the same stringent process re-engineering and outsourcing as middle and front office.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire more people in front office an middle office to improve morale. Outsourcing is not the answer for all processes as the work is usually redone onshore in US or UK.
Pros
The salary and benefits were great
Cons
The cons were a large organization where acknowledgement is difficult
Pros
The benefits are outstanding, medical, dental, vision, and vacation days. Interacting and meeting new people from around the world is very interesting and a great learning experience.
This is a good career for an entry level position, in the finance industry and also if you want to gain experience.
Cons
The pay is not good, for the workload and the expectations that is put on our plates. Loads of pressure to be perfect not humans.
Outsourcing is a huge issue. Saving money does not always ensure quality for the clients. Duh!
Extremely high turnover, which should cause a light bulb to go off to upper management.
Advice to Senior Management
Recognize the workers for their performance and don't emphasize mistakes more than accomplishments. Also, higher wages would be nice.
Pros
Good benefits. Perfect place if you don't aspire to grow your career. Just "roll with the flow", push paper and eat lunch at your desk.
Cons
Archaic IT, incompetent and unfair management, low pay, no recognition for hard work, favoritism.
Advice to Senior Management
Live up to DB brand. Be fair to your employees, pay a living wage (>32K for JAX). Try to avoid ( if you can) the high turnover that is consuming this site.
Pros
Nice people make the place livable, the pay is great as an investment bank, the company is pretty solid in comparison to peers, and it is still growing with a good reputation.
Cons
Incredibly harsh work hours, work life balance is out the door and different between employees, so it is a roll of a dice.
Advice to Senior Management
Please allow your analysts to live an acceptable life, and make sure that work is distributed evenly throughout the bank.
Pros
Good extra curricular activities and other sports encouragement.Lots of fun things to do but management at my center is clueless
Cons
No clear leadership in my place of work. Managers are acting like idiots. HR people at my center are even more worse.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to people and dont spoil their careers. Dont have grandiose plans which is not going to get implemented and try to help new guys out there
Pros
good benefits, pension, arts membership,
Cons
limited opportunities for career advancement,
Pros
The company provides great traditional benefits in additional to a full maternity/paternity/adoption leave as well as enhanced plans to phase back to work, mother's room, and back-up child care.
Cons
Matrixed organization sometimes makes it hard to find information or the right person to get information from.
Advice to Senior Management
Walk the talk of embracing people.
Pros
People are enthusiastic about getting to know product innovations and promoting them with clients. Generally it's easy to get management support for your ideas if the ideas are sound. Budget rarely an issue.
Company generally hires the nicer people on the street.
Cons
A lot of processes are primitive and labour intensive.
There are many rules and regulations to keep the company out of trouble with the law. Very German, but need extra patience and creativity in problem solving to achieve your goals and stay within the confines of the rules.
Technology is outdated. Hate lotus notes.
Advice to Senior Management
