    Pros

Great resume experience, ability to run projects, multi-functional cross team work, great benefits packages

    Cons

Very little respect or sympathy for work-life balance. Average work day is 9-11 hours, depending on volume, market circumstances, and time of the year. They will pay you less than industry standard if you're not an AVP or higher. Once you advance to a Senior Analyst role, there is little room for movement as there are not often positions opened above you. Can be difficult to move laterally to another department for a new opportunity - more than once during my time there, the departments underwent a hiring freeze for several months or more and that meant you couldn't move anywhere. VERY fast paced environment - this is not a job where you will have time to deal with many personal matters during the day.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more staff to help deal with the volumes that you know are coming with the Clearing Business resulting from Dodd-Frank. Respect that not everyone on staff is comfortable with working 11 hours every day and may actually have obligations outside of work.

    Pros

People for the most part were friendly and nice

    Cons

Management is all old school and cannot be trusted. They need a major reorg.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start caring about the people, by providing support which does not exist at this firm. The large turnover rate at this firm is so alrming and management does not care, but to keep the bottom line low. You also do not pay competively for the industry.

    Pros

Good place for getting your foot in the door. Career development classes are provided to employees throughout the year.

    Cons

Outdated Systems cause a huge inconvenience when getting client files out by their SLA.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management (including HR) tends to overlook a lot of internal issues that are presented to them if they do not deem the issues 'important' ie internal accounting fluffs.

    Pros

Getting experience in a big corporation is a plus. A lot of classes for personal development, a lot of sport clubs and other groups to join.

    Cons

You are getting experience at the expense of your work-life balance. Low salary, no opportunities for promotion.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There should be appreciation for expereince, knowledge, education, and loyalty.

    Pros

Unequivocal opportunities in mid sized southern US market.

    Cons

"Nearshore" location is middle ground between hub and offshore, and feels that way.

    Pros

    Nice vacation package
    Nice people
Short commute and I love the weather in Florida

    Cons

"Strategy" changes every 3-6 months so every time you start to make progress they make you change. Very little investment in IT, and it's even worse since the last earnings report!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Manage client expectations, don't overload people to the point where they are looking to leave at the first opportunity.

    Pros

Great benefits and a positive career outlook in the Jacksonville office. The starting salary isn't bad either, but negotiate up before you start since overtime won't happen.

    Cons

Recruiters over promise on earnings potential with overtime that is non existant. Transition of work to Jacksonville can be chaos at times.

Medical, dental and vision benefits are great!! 401K, stock purchase plan, all very good. Great flexible work schedules, and the people in my group are what really rocks!!

    Cons

Only select groups can work from home, running out of parking and work space.

    Great Company!

Current Employee - Operations Analyst  in  Jacksonville, FL
Current Employee - Operations Analyst in Jacksonville, FL

    Pros

As a new college graduate, this position is a great first step into the finance industry. I like the people and and the challenges. Over time is allowed if justified.

    Cons

Training is hands on and not very organized. I wish they had a two week intensive training program to teach employees what they're really doing instead of waiting weeks or months to figure it out on your own.
