    Pros

Not sure if there are any

    Cons

Career/Compensation. This is a black hole of hiring analysts/associates and keeping them junior till they have no other option but to leave. The general perception on the street is pretty bad for DBCenter.(Goldman's Salt Lake City office is considered far better)
Essentially the problem is a lot of Vertical Managers who should be in HR but are making decisions that they do not understand.
To move up in the organization, it becomes important to be on their good side, rather than do good work.

    Pros

Getting experience in the investment banking world is a good way to start your career, after one year you can move to any part of the business.

    Cons

Salary is low, HR for Jacksonville is horrid, and cube environment

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest time in getting to know the systems and products, less time spent counting hours for billing.

I have been working at Deutsche Bank full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits used to be great, now they are starting to cut those. Vacation time is good. Diversity policies are good, but too bad HR doesn't follow them.

    Cons

Where do I begin? This company has ruined the lives of so many people. I don't even want to waste my time listing all of the terrible things about this company. #1 thing to know: You are expendable. They have no problem losing anyone. In fact, their business model is to treat people bad so they quit so they can hire someone straight out of college and pay them 28k a year. Once you make "too much" money, kiss your job good by.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Care more about people than money. The huge amounts of fines that you receive are due to letting go of people who actually know what they are doing. The idea of hiring smart inexperienced people might work if there was decent training or procedures. The HR department literally told me that there are no departments here that have decent training or procedures.

I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great resume experience, ability to run projects, multi-functional cross team work, great benefits packages

    Cons

Very little respect or sympathy for work-life balance. Average work day is 9-11 hours, depending on volume, market circumstances, and time of the year. They will pay you less than industry standard if you're not an AVP or higher. Once you advance to a Senior Analyst role, there is little room for movement as there are not often positions opened above you. Can be difficult to move laterally to another department for a new opportunity - more than once during my time there, the departments underwent a hiring freeze for several months or more and that meant you couldn't move anywhere. VERY fast paced environment - this is not a job where you will have time to deal with many personal matters during the day.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more staff to help deal with the volumes that you know are coming with the Clearing Business resulting from Dodd-Frank. Respect that not everyone on staff is comfortable with working 11 hours every day and may actually have obligations outside of work.

    Pros

People for the most part were friendly and nice

    Cons

Management is all old school and cannot be trusted. They need a major reorg.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start caring about the people, by providing support which does not exist at this firm. The large turnover rate at this firm is so alrming and management does not care, but to keep the bottom line low. You also do not pay competively for the industry.
