    I worked at Deutsche Bank

    Pros

Like to work in Silo and being promoted vertically
Like talking in acronyms all day long
Like to communicate with others while not understanding a thing but everyone nodding
Like back to back meeting without a minute in between

    Cons

No management science, everyone promoted irrespective of their people skills

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to really build managers before promoting anyone based solely on their technical skills
    There is zero management science

    I worked at Deutsche Bank

    Pros

    Very process driven, conservative company.

    Cons

Aggressive cost cutting in IT yet many expats moving to APAC to take on management roles with limited exposure on asian culture. Career development lacking for locals.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Develop your APAC management team not around the expats.

I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Surrounded by smart and ambitious people

    Cons

Ambition dies here, people don't have the flexibility and freedom to realise their potential. DB does not care about your welfare as an individual, while managers relish in pitting employees against each other for not material gain. Low salary compared to the industry.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Reputation and brand image
    Mobility
Senior Management trying to drive change

    Cons

    Political and hierarchical
Race discrimination- people stick to their own kind and lack of diversity. Local bank work environment rather than multinational bank.
Process focused workforce - limited commercial vision
Poor systems and even worse project management
Big Bang approach to change rather than well planned and methodical- leads to wasted resources and frustrated employees when projects go live
    Unfriendly
    Zero work life balance

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue the push for diversity and calling bad behaviours
On the job training is not working - reinforces bad processes and there is ab underlying unwillingness to change. Need regular shake-ups and proper training for existing and new employees to limit attrition

    Cons

Unfriendly working environment. No one wants to share. Management is stifling.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't send department wide emails telling people not to speak English in the common areas - that does not look good on your cultural diversity kudos. I'm 100% English and I'm ashamed to have experienced this.
