Pros
Employer Brand. Great management principles.
Cons
Bureaucracy when comes to promotion
Pros
Interesting people around you (developers. team leads). Interesting projects - speak about that on project screening. Good salaries for new joiners. Possibility to relocate if you are interested in that. Flexible schedule (depends on the project)
Cons
1. Bad compensation if you stay for long time there (>2 years). Ill performance measurement procedure without clear goal settings/transparent estimations. Managers are obliged to give 2 (5 mark scale) to someone. High marks doesn't affect your salary\bonus. Bank loves to say about poor Q4 and cut bonuses.
2. New office infrastructure is not that good as expected, insufficient air conditioning, not enough facilities (toilettes, kitchens). No smoking facility - it might take you 20 mins (lifts) to go outside. Noisy open space (coffee machines, colleagues, cell phones)
3. Moderate bureaucracy level. sub-optimal decisions from management when choosing technologies/services. slow procurement

Pros
* Lots of trainings
* High professional people
* DB is best in FX
* Cutting edge technologies
Cons
* Not very high salary
* Getting promotion is like a fly to the Moon
Advice to Senior Management
understand people and their uniques, e.g. where they are good and where are bad. Give them
tasks based on their best.
Pros
Sometimes the work is challenging, good chance to see mature investment banking IT landscape.
Cons
All important decisions are done in london and NY, management consider local devs as abstract resources, no recognition, a huge lot of legacy systems that nobody cares to clean up, everybody building something new (no incidents, always better then existing etc).
Advice to Senior Management
Not sure if there is anything they can do, maybe stop some naive initiatives that plainly make them look stupid (like agile dev for everybody, like it's sorta silver bullet). Start hiring smart people, not people who can talk and draw diagrams.
Pros
Good atmosphere, Motivated team, Challenging tasks
Cons
Poor comunication, no clear promotion criterias
