I have been working at Diagnostic Laboratories & Radiology full-time

    Pros

This is a solid growing company with may opportunities to gain valuable experience. The company has many growing pains, but that in itself is the opportunity for motivated hardworking career seekers.

    Cons

PAY. It's below par. That being said, you can look at it 2 ways. The field employees are in theory not working their entire shift but do get paid an average rate and reimbursed for driving. As for everyone else, this company serves as a great springboard. Meaning, you can work here, gain experience and a greater skill set and move on to make more money. Its almost like an investment in your career that will pay off at the end.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more to hold on to your talent. You are only helping your competitors but acting as a springboard.

I have been working at Diagnostic Laboratories & Radiology (more than a year)

    Pros

The camaraderie of working with some great people who are in the same situation. The chance to learn new skills.

    Cons

Not enough staff. Outdated operating systems. Never have had a review or merit raise. Always being compared to the office where it seems they want to move operations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more transparent and supportive. Give reviews and merit raises. Keep your employees updated with changes and plans for future staffing and updates on the oprating system. The absence of these basic points has. caused morale to be non existent.

    Pros

Exposure to different culture and benefits are good. Some good people and some great leaders.

    Cons

If you're new, ready to take over another person's position and would like to learn from them, better be prepared to hike the trails, hang over the cliff, enter the wild jungle where the most wild animals are ready for their next prey- before they teach you the ropes of what they do. No proper training for new employees- they expect you to know the company policies as you enter the building. The management don't care about the non-management employees. Nepotism, Politics everywhere and hiring poor leaders.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees the way you wanted to be treated.

    Pros

consistent hours of work, when you needed overtime it was there.

    Cons

no raises, and they need to listen to their employees a little more and not blow them off. They say they give second chances, but they tend to not to it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you're going to give second chances, then give second chances.

I worked at Diagnostic Laboratories & Radiology full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Learned a lot about systems and keeping your head above water in a sink or swim environment. Constantly challenged and working under pressure. Each day there was another fire to put out, which at the time, felt like job security. Some good people to work with.

    Cons

No transparency from upper management. Current management has zero education and minimal experience with systems or computers. Obvious favoritism from higher ups to certain staff. Clear that upper management is driving staff to quit with plans of moving billing operations elsewhere, steadily increasing workloads with no additional help.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be transparent to staff so that the good people with families to support can look for work elsewhere with a solid company that will appreciate their efforts.

I worked at Diagnostic Laboratories & Radiology full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

They hire inexperience by the droves because compensation is below everyone else in the market. Great if you need to gain experience so you can apply at a hospital or doctor setting or a different laboratory. Supervisors are usually not that bright and you are able to take advantage of the situation. Most Co-workers are great to work with and feels like a friendship, some supervisors are great and will tell you to leave if you show promise.

    Cons

They hire inexperience workers so in return they give poor service are involved in countless lawsuits. compensation is poor they promote you if you are willing to have lunch with them and brown nose and bend down for them. If you are skillful or a great employee it will not matter if you do not play the politics. Don't take my word for it go try it. Just beware this is like Game of thrones no joke! There is a lot of lack of professionalism across all levels of management and workers. High gossip and even if you think you are safe talking to HR you will soon find out its not the case. Upper managements hires family, extended family and friends that don't work hard yet get compensated the best. Medical benefits are poor and there is a high turn around of employees. They hire a new upper management position like very seasonal change and they take for ever to replace an employee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to Management is there is none. You will survive for eternity especially in this job market of lack of good jobs. But the main issue here is with Management. Stop doing quid pro quo I am amazed no one has sued yet. Stop hiring family members or extended members of the family and especially don't pay them more than the average i am sure that is illegal as well. HR in this place is a laugh riot and if they are related to the top head nothing will happen HR will turn a blind eye. HR shares stories (so many people know exact details when people get fired straight from HR mouth if you ask me). Reward people because of the job skill, education, thinking outside the box and do a pay scale where hard work is rewarded. Don't pay everyone the same regardless of work ethic you send a bad signal and will eventually cause a good worker to stop working hard for you. Please stop paying family members of upper management more when they work less and even give you issues because they think they are special. Lastly, this place could be great if management wanted to be great the leadership is poor. Middle management the most unprofessional vulgar personnel i ever met.

I have been working at Diagnostic Laboratories & Radiology full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

You can learn a lot- if you want to. Some really great leaders in certain areas. You will get a lot out of working here if you have initiative. May not lead to a new title, but you will get pay reward and knowledge you can take elsewhere if need be.

    Cons

Change. Disruption. Confusion. Heavy, heavy workloads. Nepotism. Some poor leaders that don't know the jobs under them and routinely pass work off to those under them because they can't do some of the simplest tasks. Heavy dependency on temps.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more transparent. Be fair. Stop giving work to your relatives. Better wages. Hire enough staff for workload and have equipment that works for jobs given. Stop trying to always do everything cheap. Spend the money to buy equipment that will last and isn't so flimsy. Get better quality employees by paying better. Stop taking students and recent grads who will just leave in a year when they find better pay elsewhere. Again, have a lot more transparency in everything.
