Pros
Dialogic is constantly striving to innovate in order stay competitive in its targeted markets and this makes for an ever-changing and interesting work environment.
Cons
Dialogic seems to be losing more products and people than it is gaining lately. There is a constant concern around force reductions and overalll moral seems low.
Advice to Senior Management
Give the employees more ownership in the direction of the company. Make wise down-sizing decisions when necessary. Be aggressive in changing corporate direction but also willing to admit internally that the changes could have short-term negative impacts.
Pros
If you can get attached to the business or product line that is in favor, then you have the opportunity to feel like you're part of a startup.
Cons
Dialogic is a roll-up of companies in a shrinking market and still trying to find it's way towards sustainable growth. There is not enough focus to enable good team dynamics.
Advice to Senior Management
Work on developing the strategy to increase revenue at a sustainable rate, develop a realistic plan to achieve those goals, and communicate it internally.
Pros
The people, for the most part are great
Cons
The lack of any clearly defined career growth, salary and/or bonus policies
Advice to Senior Management
Communicate more!
Pros
Flexible working hours, great co-workers
Cons
Management is disconnected from reality.
Advice to Senior Management
Open your eyes and stop thinking about bottom line issues. Get creative.
Pros
Plenty of opportunity and motivation for moving on to other companies.
Cons
Management and senior management don't appear to have a clue on how to grow a business. Employees constantly blamed for lack of success of the company. Trying to cut it's way to prosperity.
Advice to Senior Management
Get rid of the management layer that has done nothing to grow the company for years. Spend a little money in order to expand market share/segment.
Pros
Well known name recognition within the industry. Product has a very strong reputation and is the market leader in several areas.
Cons
Most of the companies revenues come from legacy products where there is not a lot of growth potential. Most people are significantly underpaid compared to competition. Company grows by acquiring distressed companies with little upside and unstable products.
Advice to Senior Management
Reset expectations with investors and stock holders. Dialogic is not going to grow until they decide which market they are playing in and have a unique solution that addresses more specific needs in true next generation offerings.
Pros
People are fun to work with.
Cons
Long commute for those that live far away
Advice to Senior Management
More WFH!
Pros
Great technology access. Benefits and pay are good.
Cons
Too many products that do the same thing. Need to consolidate portfolio. Too heavy at the top of the org chart.
Advice to Senior Management
Restructure management. We have too many SVPs/VPs.
Pros
Good decision making
Autonomy within groups
"Overhead" work has been minimized
The make up of the leadership is being constantly tweaked and improved
Up and down communication is pretty good.
Cons
Communication between groups could still be improved, though there is some positive movement in this area.
Salary and benefits are a bit light, influenced by the current economy, but not nearly what I would consider poor.
Advice to Senior Management
Continue to move forward in aligning our internal organization. Make sure we are poised to "grow out of" the economic downturn, rather than follow it out. There are still a lot of good people waiting for a chance to not just keep up, but excel.
Pros
Most of the people have been with the company for over 10 years. People have deep knowledge of the products.
Cons
It is hard to advance in your career within the company.
Advice to Senior Management
Employees need to believe in the direction of the company.
