Rewarding work with smart consultants

Limited name recognition and relatively lowe r pay.

Compensation, Some of the smartest people to work with, very often good projects. You learn a lot within a short period of time working here.
Cons
If you do good, news will travel fast. If you somehow are perceived to do badly,due to reasons within or outside of your control, news travels like wildfire. And bad news sticks on for a long time and you get very few second chances.
Advice to Senior Management
Treat employees with a little more respect and ensure that promotions are a little more transparent.
Pros
Good compensation. Excellent benefits. You know what your peers make - compensation is dictated by level, not by shady negotiations. Plenty of opportunities for advancement.
Cons
Poor work life balance. Expectations that you will do firm work on top of a 40-hour client work week. Up or out policy.
Advice to Senior Management
Make sure the company remains as an independent business unit within PwC. Otherwise it will completely lose its identity and its people will leave.

The benefits are great (we had free health insuance, and they just started charging us for our family. Diamond really focuses on work life balance.
Cons
I worked for a manager who was too hands off. The people I worked with had little or no work integrity and the manager always made excuses for him and senior management knew what was going on.

When you know what is going on in certain departments, don't wait until people start quiting to do something about it.

It is up to each and everyone to strive and balance their work and life. One needs to be consciously working on it - introduce programs to help employees with this.

Wonderful people with a fantastic, inclusive culture. Competitive pay and amazing benefits. Interesting work with senior client engagement. Pushing to improve culture for women.

The travel is difficult, but that is part of the territory with consulting. Partnership criteria is not as objective as it should be.

Remember that your people are what make this company special, and do what it takes to keep them. Be transparent about management decisions.

The firm has about 500 consultants and all the people are great with a culture that encourages entrepreneurial thinking and taking the initiative.

The lack of brand recognition and rigid salary structure makes it hard to compete with other consulting firms in attracting talent.

Senior leadership should provide clear direction for the firm and provide opportunities to select projects based on preferences and skills.

The firm has a great set of people, provides varied project opportunities if you are not unucky enough to get staffed on a never ending project, adequate face time with senior people in leading firms.

Lack of transparency in the review process. Copensation is tied to levels and not to review performance. Work life balance can sometimes go for a toss.

Management needs to be more open and forthcoming in their communications. Diamond is a small firm and transparency and communication needs to be its strongest points. Also, invest in training people
