I worked at Dick's Sporting Goods part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Fun environment with good management and have a good time talking sports while working. Easy to move up into management training if you're a hard worker. Only reason I quit is because I graduated with a Degree in Business Management and moved on to a company with better pay. This was a fun job to have during college and ill always look back at my experience with this company as a good one.

    Cons

Its retail so you get bad customers here and there but managers will help you with them.

    Pros

My coworkers were fun and I miss them. The pay was pretty good.

    Cons

The management was pretty bad. If you have a problem, do not go to management they won't do anything.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

HR shouldn't refer all problems back to store managment.

I have been working at Dick's Sporting Goods full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

You get to put smiles on the faces of everyone you deal with.

    Cons

POOR internal customer service, poor store to store product selection consistency. Mid-level management is challenging and not in a good way. Until this company realizes the stores are here for the very existence of the corporate office they will never realize their true potential as a company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find out what your employees are thinking and then focus on making it a great place to work and then it will be a great place to shop
