    Pros

Management is great and very involved in daily tasks, procedures are standardized and available at all times for review. It's a genuinely fun place to work. Starts at $8/hr and offers servsafe testing and certification.

    Cons

There are not many hours available so part-time appears to be the only option. The customers are not the friendliest of folks. Also, this is a new establishment so there are plenty of kinks to get out.

    Advice to Management

Hire less people and give more hours, full-time status, and a higher pay to the few employees that are employed.

    Pros

Great management, good work-life balance, free food sometimes, fun atmosphere, offers servsafe testing and cert.

    Cons

Not many hours available, not much room for advancement, customers aren't the friendliest

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work, maybe don't hire as many people and instead pay the ones you have more and offer them full-time

    Pros

Dickey's has a good clean environment, and friendly staff and coworkers. Overall, it is a pretty fun and upbeat job.

    Cons

Although the restaurant is overall a nice place, the hours aren't that great when starting out. It may be easy to maintain two jobs this way, though.

    Advice to Management

If possible, offer more hours to those just starting or maybe have been there a while. Other than that, keep up the great business!

    Pros

If you are reasonably intelligent, you will undoubtedly feel like a genius compared to the morons you work with (and the upper management that you report to).

    Cons

Virtually every VP or Director level position is occupied by someone who is completely unqualified and, in most cases, an idiot. "Directives" change from day to day, there is EXTREME micromanaging for no legitimate business purpose (for example, tardy notices are issued on a daily basis for all employees who arrive after 8:30 a.m. -- if you arrive at 8:31, too bad, you're on the tardy list), ridiculous and overbearing management with constant and unreasonably reporting that detracts from the actual work that needs to be completed.

The corporate office approaches its franchisees in an argumentative, disrespectful fashion and the vast majority of franchisees HATE corporate. Corporate also seems to hate its franchisees.

CEO and upper management refer to the culture/"colorful language"... translation: almost every conversation or e-mail will be laced with profanities and offensive comments.

Run as fast as you can from this place.

Stay away from this place. The negativity,

    Pros

You get a free lunch and discounted prices. You get a good experience of how to run any restaurant because the staff isn't usually that big

    Cons

Customer complaints, trucks being late, burning/cutting yourself, low pay, little opportunity to move up

    Advice to Management

My advice to management is to learn better customer service skills, watch the numbers and learn more soft skills

    Pros

You can wear a uniform if you're a guy which makes getting ready easy. And, if you can actually tolerate the food you get 50% off at the few corporate owned stores.

    Cons

I imagine hell is a better place. If you've ever worked for a real company, you will hate working for Dickey's corporate office. Want to go back to high school? You'll love it here! They monitor when people arrive each morning and send out a list and lunch hour is restricted to between 12-1. That's if you have time to even leave. The workload is extreme due to unrealistic goals and needs set by leadership. This goes across all parts of the company from sales to marketing to programming/IT.

Do you enjoy being ruled by unqualified people? Apply for one of the many open positions. Most people in the company are not educated and you will have to deal with stupidity on a regular basis. Have a connection with a Dickey? Don't worry you'll get promoted and all the people who actually work can watch (this includes HR people who have too much power because they know company/family secrets). This happens on a regular basis which is why turnover is extremely high.

Do you also enjoy hearing people complain? This may be the job for you. Almost every employee is looking for their next opportunity and you will hear people complain on a regular basis. Franchisees also love to complain about the company and can be found online or in ongoing lawsuits.

    Advice to Management

Stop lying and put better people in charge

Great food, enjoyed the team that I worked with. Results driven environment with clear objectives.

    Cons

Long hours! Did I say long hours! I mean really long hours! They pay you well and then expect to own you. Expect to work on your days off. Expect to be driven hard by upper management. In case you missed it, really long hours!

    Advice to Management

Value the people that work for you.
