Hopefully someone will listen but it is too late here.

CSEIII (Current Employee)
Evansville, IL

I have been working at Diebold full-time for more than 10 years

Prosgood money if you want to work day and night!

Consabsolutely no free time or family life. constantly on call! If you like having bosses you will love this one. Everyone from California to Jersey thinks they are your Boss! They say you are self directed but that is just a saying. If you like being torn between leadership then this is for you.

Advice to Senior ManagementGood Luck. You successfully managed to drive away almost all the customers in this area. If that is what you where after, you managed it well!!!

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Profit is king at Diebold

Field Service Tech (Current Employee)
Tucson, AZ

I have been working at Diebold full-time for more than 10 years

ProsThe customers are what make it fun, met great people!
OK pay with lots of OT
Company vehicle

ConsFamily life is non-existent, you work or are on call all the time
Management does not care about it's employees, only making the numbers
Benefits are being taken away every year
No matter how well you do, you are not told good job or rewarded, you simply have raised your goal for next qtr.

Advice to Senior Managementquit bringing in outside professional mangers to run stuff they know nothing about. reward your people and share some of the huge profits you are making off our backs.

Installation and service for electronics products

Senior Installer and Service Tec (Former Employee)
Tamarac, FL

I worked at Diebold full-time for more than 10 years

Prosallways paid on time, (or early) in the past had GREAT training classes with real field issues.

Conscompany now only wants to take care of SHORT TERM business , cut all cost that does not bring this months $$ up, does not matter if it will hurt customers in the long term.

Advice to Senior ManagementGo back to Field EMPLOYEES matter, as they and the ones customers see every day, also go back to salesmen that talks face to face with customer, NO Long term CUSTOMER wants to buy equipment and services via email and phone calls. Also when upper management should never tell Employees as a group that they do not matter and that they can be replaced with younger, lower cost persons.

Going downhill fast

Analyst (Current Employee)
North Canton, OH

I have been working at Diebold full-time for more than 10 years

ProsMy first ten years at the company, I learned a lot and was promoted frequently.
I was able to work on multiple cross-functional, inter-department projects both in the US and Europe which was both educational and fun.
I was able to change jobs within the company several times to gain new skills/experiences and work with many people.

ConsDiebold doesn't support their employees like they used to. We are all just numbers now.
Company expects more work for less pay every year. People leave and are not replaced so work is "absorbed" but there are no raises and benefits keep being eliminated.
Communication from management is almost non-existent. You never know what you are supposed to be doing or how your goals fit into the big picture.
Goals are changed monthly--no exaggeration. The company doesn't seem to know which way they want to go. Therefore goals are unachievable.
There is no feedback from management about how you are doing--only panic attacks when a customer calls to complain about something. Reviews are so infrequent, I can't remember the last time I had one.
Overall morale is very low. Not a happy place to work anymore.

Advice to Senior ManagementChoose a direction, communicate clearly what the goals are and stick with it for more than a month. Treat your employees with respect and ask for their input. You will be amazed at how company performance improves when your employees feel valued.

In years past, it was a good place to work

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
North Canton, OH

I worked at Diebold full-time for more than 10 years

ProsThe employees are great to work with around the world.

ConsSince the company kicked God out, it has gone way downhill. There is just a lot of chaos inside the HQ facility.

Advice to Senior ManagementWith God, all things are possible. Without Him, you can see what happens.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
