“Recent second round of layoffs, most people demoralized.”
Current Employee – been working at Digidesign
Pros – Great products, amazing people (whats left of them), good holiday package, interesting work.
Cons – Off shoring train wreck in progress.
Low pay.
People demoralized by layoffs.
Fear of project cancellations.
Advice to Senior Management – You need to find some vision or move on. Reducing costs without investing in high growth technology is a recipe for fail.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

- Disapproves of CEO
“Was the best company I worked for, turned into a offshoring shop”
Former Employee – worked at Digidesign full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – If you live for music, you might think you're happy. You'll pay by giving away a little bit of your soul everyday.
Cons – Management believes you can do engineering offshore. Innovation effectively left the building years ago.
Advice to Senior Management – Please leave. You've killed the place. This really has been the best job in my life for 5+ years, the end was a nightmare.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
