Pros
1. A focus on officially sanctioned learning experiences and fun events
2. A strong roster of interesting clients and work
Cons
1. Think they are smarter than they are; they want to innovate but are stuck with stubborn old dogs who have deceived their way to leadership positions
2. Their digital "expertise" is anything but.
Advice to Senior Management
Open your minds - you'll find new ways of doing things that will reap great rewards; Open your eyes - these senior management officials you think are so slick and cool are really empty vessels
Pros
benefits, flexible time, open culture
Cons
long working hours
less management support
Advice to Senior Management
support your lower level staff
Pros
- Great compensation & benefits
- Digitas is well-known in its industry
- 4 day weekends for e/ holiday
- S&A Senior Leadership is on point
Cons
- Lack of office culture in the Atlanta office
- Absolutely NO work life balance
- Most of S&A is based in Boston, so face to face interaction is limited
Advice to Senior Management
Learn how to ramp up teams more effectively
Pros
Wonderful growth opportunities and great people.
Cons
Creatives are not the most talented though, so my portfolio doesn't look as great as it did with jobs at other companies.
Advice to Senior Management
Admin runs the company. Accounting needs to become team players- too much turnover and not enough human contact there.
Pros
Some nice people, great benefits, culturally fun, organized departments
Cons
Management leads are unhelpful and unqualified. Marketing runs the entire office politically and very superficial. Poor growth opportunities.
Advice to Senior Management
Treat and value your existing employees better compared to the new one's.
Pros
- flexible hours
- good benefits
- free soda & coffee
Cons
- sweatshop mentality = quality of work suffers
- lack of direct management; can go a week without speaking with my boss
Advice to Senior Management
- re-evaluate the GDP plan as a means to gaining a promotion
Pros
Best reasons to work at Digitas include the friendly people, the nice atmosphere, the pay, and the great benefits.
Cons
There wasn't any communication about potential layoffs. I realize layoffs occur, but that part of it is quite unfair.
Advice to Senior Management
Don't lay off people who are more competent than the other people who work there. Lay off the people who aren't as good.
Pros
- smart people
- interesting (ish) project opportunities
- company culture is coming back
- management makes an effort to keep employees informed of company wide decisions
Cons
- insane timing expectations
- weak DM or PM hires recently...it's rare to find someone proactive and willing to be a true partner
- people, while smart, require a lot of ego stroking across the board
- little support from upper management
Advice to Senior Management
Feel like every review has this, but please do try to check in on your teams. Everyone knows your swamped, so it's always nice to see you and hear words of congratulations or encouragement.
Pros
Terrific, talented people
Flexible work schedule/Ability to work from home
Challenging work
Innovative senior leadership
Cons
Difficult to get promoted
Below average compensation
No annual or quarterly bonus
Advice to Senior Management
Great job but would like to see more big name clients on board
Pros
Not much to complain about. Interesting work, good co-workers, fun office atmosphere, definitely a job I was lucky to find.
Cons
Lots of questions about the direction the company was going at the time I worked there (early/mid 2000s) which don't seem to have been resolved.
Advice to Senior Management
Remember what made this a good place to work in the "old days" (i.e. back when it was Bronnercom) - the culture seemed to be better and morale higher.
