I have been working at Dimension Data full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits good and salary slightly ahead of market. Good culture and some great people working in DiData. Great strategy and slide ware. Very low churn in account management

    Cons

Business is run by accountants hence old system integrator mentality that has not really evolved. Most of the business is through Technology Sales with maintenance attachment. DD have invested in Cloud services but they are out of date by the time they are launched. If you have the right accounts you will do very well but sales specialists have significant high churn and unfortunately are never succesfull

    Advice to Management

Too many people in Group functions, most people don't understand their functions, need to use these FTE's to generate profit in region. The lack of integration with NTT is very disapointing

    Pros

Some people here are great, I felt part of the family here almost immediately. That said, others are absolutely horrible, hypocritical and cold.

    Cons

I have never seen so many people leave a company. There's a general bully attitude towards some employees and there doesn't seem to be lots of support from hr or management.

    Advice to Management

People make your business, treat them with respect. People are leaving the company for a reason, there are some serious issues that need addressing.

I have been working at Dimension Data full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Modern offices, a little remote but the kitchen is full of an endless supply cereal, bread and sweets, (If you can call this a "Pro"). Most staff are friendly.

    Cons

I know a number or people who have worked at North Ryde office, previously and a few years ago this company was a place that cared about its employees and their growth and development, but they have now they appear to have lost touch with what made the company in the first place. It's staff. Some just sit there listening to Youtube or accessing their Facebook. Are they bored or just lazy? Many talented senior and mid to long term employees have now left or are leaving. Management is out of touch with their workers, there is little interaction, or interest. The sales team are too egotistical, too sales driven and obsessed with their own in-house cloud solution. "Our customer is at the centre of what we do" is just a slogan ” Customers were saying that they did not find them to be customer centric, at all. Quite the opposite. Management doesn't listen to staff. Their focus is to suppress "noise" rather than solve the actual problem. Raising an issue at Dimension Data often results in a negative response. You are seen to be a problem, when you are just trying to make things better. The language heard in the offices is often loud and even foul. It is not a comfortable environment. There are no processes or systems in place. Poor performance normally results in a change of job , or a "Red card" rather than professional performance management.Training was promised in development plan but not delivered due to "budget constraints". HR is inept. There are Senior managers openly verbally bad mouthing other managers and staff in front of their staff, thinking it is amusing. It is not. It actually reflects very badly and no one respects that.

    Advice to Management

Get undercover workers sent in to various departments by overseas. You will quickly see what is really happening.
