    Pros

steady business and not bad tip compared to most of Chinese restaurant

    Cons

I worked in this restaurant many years, and I have seen too many things in this restaurant.

Poor management - Owner think they really know how to run business, actually they don't. Always run bad policy and make employee work miserable. In addition, policy changed daily, it makes employee harder to follow up. Every manager and supvisor standard are different that they would mad at you most of time and threat to cut down your tips rate. their management are completely mess.

Poor treatment to employee - basically your shift are 6 hrs, and it only give you 10 min break to finish your lunch or dinner. If you break over 10 min, they will monitor and warn you that can't break over 10 min or they may terminated you employment after their consideration. In addition, a years ago they still would provided you lunch or dinner meal during your break time even food was horrible, and now they don't want to provide food anymore. They gave you 50% off of ordering their food in your 10 min break. They don't spend any money on their employee and just want to their employee as hard as they can. And then kick them out, find another new guys into it. No benefit at all.

    Advice to Management

learn to being a good owner, and how to mange your people. Treat you employee well so they will willing to work for you as hard as you want. Please learn how does Din Tai Fung in Taiwan to treat their employee.

    Pros

You get a 50% off 2 items during each shift.

    Cons

This restaurant is owned by a Chinese family so the way they treat their employees if just like any other Chinese run business. If you are a greeter, good luck on moving up.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect and do not yell at them in front of customers.

    Pros

FOH and BOH staff are friendly and helpful, steady flow of guests compared to most restaurants so paycheck is predictable

    Cons

Poor treatment of employees, ridiculous rules bordering on abuse i.e. "use only one paper towel to dry hands after washing"
Quadrulple seating and extremely rude and unreasonable customers are the norm

    Advice to Management

acknowledgement of your employees' hard work and patience could really go a long way. too much micromanagement breeds contempt and please treat your employees with respect and not a "hired help"

    Pros

The work atmosphere at the Bellevue location was fun and friendly. The management, for the most part, was great.

    Cons

Corporate policies created long (2+ hours on weekends) waits with little room for workarounds, aggravating customers. Training consisted of learning from different experienced co-workers, who often had varying interpretations of rules.

    Advice to Management

Create a structured training. One day of proper tutelage from a manager would be much better than weeks of conflicting instructions from others.
